So assuming Hazard was not just trying to poke the ball free, then no, a red card doesn't seem on par with what happens in one case in the US.

And they were after more money, no?  Seems bizarre to throw lots of money at the AD and too little money at the assistant coaches. Then I remember how much Bielema was getting paid, and now I'm undecided what my opinion is, again.
