Everyone is acting like they are changing our jersey to this full time. It is one game, it will be fun. Big Chill was awesome despite the goofy jerseys, yes/no?
Show me one alternate jersey idea/design/whatever that any other team has trotted out that people unanimously liked.
I won't say I was the one that got slammed, but there was a push of ~10 honors hall kids that foolishly sprinted across with ammo in hand, only to realize that Braylon, Marlin, et al were waiting for us. There was a scrum...might have been Marlin that knocked me over and as I started getting back up to sulk over to the pathetic SQuad side I noticed a Nike reciever's glove with a black #80 written on the wrist.
Think about how many 3 stars there are vs. 5 stars. It is completely erroneous to take a sample size of 4 NFL teams and show that rankings don't matter bc there are not that many 5 stars playing today. There are only a couple dozen 5 stars per year and hundreds of 3 stars, so yes there are a lot of 3 stars in the NFL.
Its been done in other posts, articles, etc and i am too lazy to look it up, but in terms of percentage - yes rankings matter a lot. 5 stars are way more likely to make it to and succeed in the NFL than 3 stars.
In the spirit of stealing coaches in pairs: I suggest taking the coach for the hottest team in college basketball, San Diego State's coach Steve Fisher...
Zook probably would have already been fired if the school could afford it. His buyout was too large and the state of Illinois/U of I are basically broke and in a ridiculous monetary crisis the past couple years.
The article/theory also fails to point out that Nebraska will make more money and be on equal footing in the best conference in America, instead of getting a raw deal with Sinbad:
So i read your proposal to be 1) either M never plays OSU, unless both are in the championship or 2) M plays OSU every year and possibly repeat a week later in the championship.
How does this make any sense? Is this the best veiled sarcasm ever?
...is that it should be easier to fit in a one-time neutral site game than trying to get a home and home with a big opponent. The home and home is still a better option, but this would be a nice compromise to spice up the schedule once in a while. Ideally, this would be in a year where the schedule is weaker and lets say you have ND at home, you can afford to play a game at Lucas Oil or Soldier Field or whatever.
I knew we had a less than huge Senior class this year, but reading that depth chart by class reminded me how ridiculously young this team STILL is.
Lots of RS Juniors, good from the leadership angle, but very few Seniors (RS or otherwise) meaning that there is hopefully small turnover after this season. Say it with me, RR, just make it to 2011 and unleash thy full fury.
It is because bad grammar is hard to read and makes the author sound like a toddler. It isn't the odd typo that irks people, it is the complete disregard for the English language.
This isn't a very original thought, but this could be a great thing if RR is still around in 2011 - a year without very much quality (NFL) turning over bodes so so well for 2011.
Burn red shirts, boats, whatever this year and let all hell break loose in 2011. PLEASE.
Just need some of those bounces to go our way this year, or right the disastrous turnover ship.
I was in Austin a couple weeks ago and noticed some official looking Wisconsin and Michigan polo wearing types hanging out in the airport. Could be a coincidence though...
I hope Texas to Big Ten happens, and the Pac ten adds Colorado and Utah, and the Big 12 adds Boise State and TCU and meanwhile everyone's head asplode.

Gritty McDileo has finally arrived.
I didn't think this was the case until you said it...so I'm going to go ahead with a "too soon" on this one.

I still have the glove - totally worth it.
MgoBoard has officially turned into 4chan.
Congratulations.
I don't know, his jaw doesn't seem large enough to justify his place in the pantheon of rocket armed statues yet.
Maybe he will grow into it.
Conforth for sure. I took his "American Subcultural Movements: Beatniks, Hippies, and Punks"
Unreal that was even a class, but it was amazing.
He always used the Michigan numbers, not the opponent. Try and keep up sport.
Both teams have been in night games against other teams. I think you mean the first night game matchup between the two?
Is this really good sarcasm, or does this make no sense?
To my point below, yes this article is exactly the type of analysis I was pointing to.
(sorry I missed it while I was typing the response)

MAIZE JERSEYSZ on the QBs.
Discuss. We probably need a few dozen threads and countless mock ups. Ready go.

Wisconsin's traditional and annual cup cakey delicious out of conference schedule.
I know I sure would, norm.
428
I would like thinking about this scenario a lot more if it were tied and not a deficit. That being said, I am not going to think about it.
LALALALALALALA
If it was 2006 I would be outraged. Somehow I have gone numb to any Michigan news since.
both, no question Jim.
Offense vs Defense - so not sure why it matters to have double numbers. Unless you mean contributing on Special Teams at the same time.
Wow. Have you ever been to this board? His comment is probably only a 5 on the 10 point nerdometer.
Is that for manly acting people?
Freshman.

You don't like $30 Million and a chance to succeed at the highest level of your profession? Oh, okay, duly noted.
Not sure I get this. As they become fewer in number shouldn't the quality and accountability of each improve?
That is an AP article, not ESPN's take.
It would have never happened, even if it happened. Those years were wiped off the map thanks to Eddy.

My votes:
Nebraska at Soldier Field. OR
Cal at Mile High Stadium.
Rutgers has joined the Big Ten. "New Jerseys"
