Or maybe it's 57 seconds of 4'33" - letting the environment record the music for him, allowing each person who listens to hear the various subtleties in the background, composing a piece that removes the composer from the fate of the piece. |

Exactly the person who came to mind when reading this... 6'6" but 7 time rebounding champion in the NBA in the 90's |

I think they moved to the Twitter sphere, so you have to go there for new ones |
| 27 weeks 6 days ago | Flip Indiana and Wisconsin |
Those all look correct to me except Indiana and Wisconsin. Indiana would have been edged out after losing its first three, but with Wisconsin recently losing its 2nd, Indiana can take the lead by winning this weekend. |

I think the OP was referring to the trend, not total attendance compared to The Big House. Their attendance is down about 7,000 since 2008. |
| 1 year 8 weeks ago | Grad-year transfer |
And a grad-year transfer would take up a spot in 2012, not in 2013, since he would be guaranteed to graduate at the end of next season. |
| 1 year 10 weeks ago | That makes much more sense |
Reading it again after getting some sleep. And in retrospect, posting that late on a Sunday night relying on my memory while trying to work just has bad idea written all over it. |
| 1 year 10 weeks ago | If I remember correctly... |
I think it gives a reference to the number of scholarships that would typically be used up for each position. So QB 3 + 0 means we have 3 scholarship QBs, and we would like 3 scholarship QBs. RB 7 - 1 means we have 7 scholarship RBs, but we would normally have 8 for depth. And at the bottom, the total is 83 - 2, meaning that we have 85 scholarships available, but are only using 83 (a + greater than 0 would indicate we're using more scholarships than is typical at that position). |

The actual article bolded everyone's name the first time it was used, and that just happened to be the first time she was mentioned. The comment was regarding the event as a whole. Edit: Beaten to the punch |

| 1 year 11 weeks ago | At least $10k to knock him out of the game |
Jonathan Vilma put up $10,000 to incentivize someone to knock Favre out of the game |

Looks like someone should have killed that ox and eaten it when they had the chance... |
| 1 year 14 weeks ago | not necessarily |
OT has been shortened to accommodate shootouts, so there's really no way to say for certain. |
| 1 year 14 weeks ago | so... |
They're complaining in order to go to another bowl no one cares about where they can lose more money and then continue to complain about a bowl system treating smaller football schools unfairly? |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | The FB is for "football" |
Since we're in the middle of BB season and center applies to both |

You should be blaming Europe, as it says some European leagues count a goal as 2 points |

Trolling, as in fishing, for information (at least I hope) |

| 1 year 19 weeks ago | Too soon |
There have only been 3 Winter Classics played since the last Wings-Hawks one. As much as air time is skewed for some teams it would be surprising if the same 2 teams met that close together. |
| 1 year 19 weeks ago | Depends |
According to this page, if you've started the kicking motion, yes. In this case, though, he was initially tackled while running and it wasn't clear he was going to punt, so no penalty. |
| 1 year 20 weeks ago | So pumped! |
On my way to Buffalo Billiards right now to get a good seat, head start on the wings/beer, and start the game off right with (hopefully) a solid turnout of DC area fans |
| 1 year 22 weeks ago | Ummm... (EDIT: Delete) |
Until the FBI gets involved (like with USC) I don't see how you can possibly claim that you have undergone more scrutiny than any team EVER has. EDIT: Originally posted this from MGoDroid and now the comment I replied to is gone so mods feel free to delete this comment. |
| 1 year 22 weeks ago | Still don't understand the VA Tech choice |
Boise would be a great matchup, and you know their fans would be chomping at the bit to play a school from a BCS conference in a marquee game after the bowl matchup let downs they've had the past few years. Also, I was talking with a coworker the other day about this, but if they're going for 2 BCS schools and don't want KSU, how did Baylor get passed over? A battle between two of the greatest dual-threat QBs CFB has ever seen practically sells itself, plus Baylor is relatively close to NO. |
| 1 year 23 weeks ago | USA Today agrees with the numbers in the summary |
According to USA Today, the first team from an AQ conference earns a $22.3 million payout for making a BCS bowl, and each additional team from that conference earns $6.1 million. Interestingly, by not having a non-AQ team in a BCS bowl this year, the BCS is actually saving about $7 million. This is because if a non-AQ team makes a BCS bowl, $26.4 million dollars is shared among the non-AQ conferences. If none make it, only $13.2 million is shared. So, the $13.2 + $6.1 for the AQ team replacing a non-AQ team = $19.3 million, which is $7.1 million short of the total payout that would be due if a non-AQ team made it. |

| 1 year 28 weeks ago | Playing spoiler to Ohio |
Looking at the schedule, it seems like there's a VERY good chance we could be playing to keep Ohio out of the B1G championship game this year. Assuming they beat Purdue and Penn State (which, given Penn State's offensive struggles, seems very likely), and that Penn State loses to Wisconsin (also very likely), Ohio will go into the game with two losses in-conference. This puts them tied for the division lead with Wisconsin and Penn State, with the head-to-head tiebreaker in both. Man it would feel good to play spoiler to that season and send Wisky to the championship game. Edit: This also assumes that Wisconsin wins out, beating Minny and Illinois in addition to Penn State |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | Time out for the punt |
Haven't seen it discussed much here, but it really seems like that timeout we took before the Iowa punt that pinned us in the 4th would have been really useful on that last drive... How were we caught off guard with that punt to the point we had to waste a TO? |
| 1 year 29 weeks ago | Woolfolk's speed |
Agree with this post. Hoke said in his presser that Woolfolk brings some speed to the position. While there's no denying that nobody on the team reads a play and reacts like Kovacs, he's also not the fastest guy on the team. Woolfolk could bring in a new wrinkle with his speed, either for chasing people down in the backfield when we bring pressure, or as noted by Mich1993 above, for passing situations. |
