Your most wanted recruits
Some of you may not like the topic and prefer the swim lanes (which I also enjoy) but it's slow and I wanted to hear some opinions on which recruits you want the most, and how confident you are we will land them. I will throw out mine, I tend to be a little more conservative just because of the nature of recruiting and how unpredictable it can be.
1. Solomon (35%) He has said we will be tough to beat but it seems Mama wants him closer to home. Huge position of need
1a. Harris (45%) There has been some recent rumbling that "we got him" but I will be cautious with my optimism until I hear something credible.
3. Filiaga (75%) Feels like we are in the driver seat unless Oklahoma swipes him.
4. Tufele- (20%) Moves to 1a if we miss on Solomon but it doesn't appear to be trending our way.
5. Collins (75%) We have led forever but visits to the south loom. Luxury pick up but would still love to have him.
6. Gay (30%) Another luxury pick up, I love his game and he appears to really like us, but almost all the crystal balls have him staying in the south.
7. Becton (50%) Staff apparently really likes him and he is massive
8. 5th DB. I think we want one, not sure who it will be. And I assume there is still a name or two not on our radar that will pop up late.

Filiaga, Solomon/Tufele, Najee, Collins, and Gay in that order.
Assuming we got only one of the NTs and an RB decommits in reaction to a Najee commitment, that puts us at 30. Whoever Harbaugh deems necessary to fill out the class after that would be fine with me. I'd assume it would only be 1 or 2 more anyway and nobody else on the board really catches my eye from a talent or need perspective if we got the above group.

You know, I really want Isaiah Wilson in the class. I'm hoping he flips. Don't know how possible it is but other than ones you mentioned he is it.

It seems pretty unlikely. He showed up to the UA AA game practices in all UGA stuff and was taking pictures with all the UGA folks etc. Isn't really giving off the vibe of someone who remains conflicted.

Thanks, I'll just hope his troll game is strong then.

Doesn't second semester start a week from today? Reallistically wouldn't Harris have to make a decision within a few days of that? Honestly I'm surprised we don't have someone inside the FAA that can tell us whether he has a plane ticket to Detroit booked, a la De Niro in Meet the Parents.

Fear not...Wolverine Devotee is scouring the Student Directory already. A little bit interesting strategy to reveal to the players themselves that you searched for them in the directory (I presume that's how he found out). Regardless, for each their own.
Tarik Black, Corey Malone-Hatcher, Ben Mason, Cesar Ruiz and J'Marick Woods are officially enrolled. 5/13 early enrollees
WolverineDevotee @UMichWD
Welcome aboard, fellas @LetmeRockk_ @CMH2017 @benmason41 @_OverCees @JL_Woods1
WolverineDevotee @UMichWD
Make that 7 of 13, as both @JKellypowell and @Benj_UpNext have also both officially enrolled.

FWIW: Lavert Hill was also listed in the Penn State student directory last year.

According to Corey Malone-Hatcher, Najee Harris just created a twitter profile.
December 28th, 2016 at 1:37 PM ^
Quick, somebody check who he is following!
December 28th, 2016 at 1:40 PM ^
As of several min ago. It is CMH and all Alabama coaches.
December 28th, 2016 at 2:16 PM ^
I'm bad at reading twitter. I guess it isn't Najee. It is a fake account.

I would love any two of the following:
- Filiaga
- Solomon
- Tufele
- Harris
Of course, I'd prefer all of them, but really, any two of these guys would be great. More would be totally awesome.
As for the others (Gay, Collins, Becton, Leatherwood, Slaton), I'd take any or all of them, but Leatherwood and Slaton seem very unlikely (committed elsewhere, plus grades) and Gay, Collins and Becton less needed. I guess of the latter three, I'd almost say Becton, then Gay, then Collins.
I also would love for Harbaugh to pull something out of his hat at the last minute . . . a 5 star or high 4 star guy currently committed elsewhere would be awesome. Especially on the line.

...that we become known as the murder/death/kill lineman school, that regularly produces maulers on the O line and Football sociopathic QB stalkers on the D line. That's all. :-)

The #1 RB in the country transcends need. It's someone who sets up the offense at every other position.
December 28th, 2016 at 3:44 PM ^
Let me put it this way: if we whiffed on every single RB we offered in this class, we would still be fine. But we simply can't afford to whiff on every single OT we offer.

The consensus top 3: Solomon, Filiaga, and Harris.
1a. Solomon because he could be an impact freshman to help our depth issues at DT.
1b. The same can be said about Filiaga at OT; instant depth/starter at OT.
1c. Harris for obvious reasons; landing #1 in back to back cycles, stealing a dude from Bama, keeping a west coast pipeline.
We of course need to stay strong on getting Gay, Collins, and Becton. I'd go full-court press on these three to make sure they commit to the good guys.
Tufele and Slaton we seem to be fighting an uphill battle, but I wouldn't stop going after Slaton.

1) Solomon
2) Filiaga
3) Harris - If he sticks with Bama, I'm very excited for the potention of O'Maury Samuels

we are fairly loaded at CB and S
CB
Long, L. Hill, Washington, A. Thomas, B St. Juste
Safety
Kinnel, Hudson, Metellus, JKP, Woods
plus we may get Clark back for 1 more season, but if not, grabbing 4-5 DB's in each of the 16 & 17 classes should provide what we need - OL/RB/DL is more important IMO

I think a DT who can play effective reps next year is most important. Then an offensive lineman who can compete as a freshman.
Harris would be needed as a playmaking RB. We currently have fine RB's but no complete, playmaker.

Michigan needs to DESTROY Florida State to improve our odds on some of these players. If UM were to lose it could be devastating for our final recruiting stretch. Sadly I think the only lock is Filaga. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if he is all we get out of this list
Solomon is 50/50 IMO. Him and his mom are weird. It sucks we might lose him over something as trivial as a thank you for attending card
I think Nico goes to Bama
I think Will Gay stays down south
Harris is 50/50
Kai Leon Herbert will decommit in January
Becton Im not sure
Tuefle I feel like hell choose Utah or BYU
5th DB: Michigan just offered some 3* db Boston College Commit. Cant remember his name though

I want them all but here are my top three desired signings (just like everybody else):
1. Najee Harris - Having the top QB, WR and RB would be epic for this class. Could be a game changer.
2. Aubrey Solomon - This kid is a beast. Can you imagine Gary and Solomon lined up side-by-side on the D-Line in a couple of years.
3. Filiaga - We need more OTs (Offensive Tackles - not Off Topic posts related to what I will eat before the OB or what to name my dog).
Order of probability:
1. Filiaga
2. Harris
3. Solomon

Its been said that defenses win games, So adding SOLOMON and Gay would help. But again we dont have much of a runnung game. So adding Harris would be great. I have not heard of an athlete offer yet this year. Is there a reason an true athlete has not been offered or have i missed this.

Tyrone freakin Wheatley. That said, loved what we saw in Evans and Higdon and we do have some promising talent coming in.
Looks like we will end up with some serious potential on both lines, hopefully we can wrap up the last elite unknowns. All said and done, a GREAT class. Also, can't wait to see some of the young guns at QB develop. The future's so bright, we gotta wear shades! Let's clean up the Orange Bowl with some seminole fluids and push these final recruits over the top!
GO BLUE!!

These 4 are the MOST wanted, IMO. I know the rest are needed in certain positions and have potential but these guys are all Home Runs
Harris, because we lost a RB and I hoped that we had officially closed the deal on this game chaning RB before we let our bird in the hand go. Would of been happy with what we had but if we can trade one for the #1 player we gotta do it. Makes me think we alrfeady got him 70%.
Gay will be a super star playing the Peppers spot if we can get him. He's no luxury, he will sinlgle handedly give OSU nightmares. He likes us a bunch and you add our current commits and i like our LB's over anyone in the nation. We need to work on mom 75%
Nico may be a luxury to some but he is the tall go up and get it receiver who will kill short DB's and fits in well with the taller/physical receiver corp we're recruiting this year. Last year was fast slot-types this year tall field streatchers. I'm calling them the 3 headed monster 90%
Solomon has a lot of potential because he has size and is very physical. He plays a position of need, and with guys going to the NFL, he potentially could play a lot as a freshman. We have to continue to work on mom but I think we can get him if we convince her that he will become an outstanding human being, not just a football player. 65%
