So glad Michigan executed that disgusting piece of shit Anderson!!!  Hopefully he’s burning in the hottest corner of hell!  He’s where he needs to be!

So? Look up any large law firm on Wikipedia and look at their notable cases. If we were to boycott any with shitty characters, there wouldn't be any left.

But hey, OUTRAGE!

Imagine thinking that this was a problem in any way. The University is absolutely petrified of people on social media thinking they did something wrong so they will be milked of hundreds of millions of dollars to appease twitter.

Also, even if Michigan does the “right” thing here, they are only doing it to protect the brand, not to be leaders in protecting victims of sexual assault. The University knows what the public cares about, so they are just doing whatever they think will make themselves look good, even if they spend a fortune. This entire story is just going to be PR bullshit, the truth doesn’t matter.

This is so stupid. Steptoe is one of the biggest law firms in the world with over 500 attorneys - they’re going to represent a wide array of clients, and yes some of them are going to be sleazebags. But last I heard - even the Epstein’s of the world are entitled to legal representation in the United States right?

Good to see M still on brand here - self flagellation since 1817.

Come on Michigan, do the right thing and wave your right to legal representation. #outrage

In my opinion Schlissel and the U come off as weasels here.  “Leaders and best” my ass. Instead of being able to articulate the importance of every defendant having representation they just folded over to the recreationally outraged on Twitter to avoid having to answer questions proactively. Grow a spine.

I’m a lawyer.  Sometimes I work for clients I like, sometimes I work for clients I don’t like.  I don’t think it’s good for anyone if it becomes a career-killer to work for unpopular clients.  Plus, this is a big firm.  I don’t even know who else my big firm represents!

This is a good post. I really like the way you proceed Epstein was murdered ya’ll toward a rational conclusion.

Took me 20 minutes to figure out that Schlissel orders the same drink at Starbucks that Epstein used to:

Crazy thing is the Steptoe has represented UM in a number of matters prior to the Jeffrey Epstein allegations and defense by Steptoe. This is just crazy. Additionally, the new law firm they've switched to may have represented alleged terrorists after 9/11. Burn the administration down.

Either hire lawyers and stick with them, or just do what the 'advocates' want you to do and go without lawyers. Michigan's attempt to virtue signal by trying to hire law firms who never represented sex offenders is stupid and has virtually zero benefit.
