Talks about the ‘92 tourney game and how the intensity of the rivalry has grown and should stay high as long as both schools keep their very good coaches.

The weekend culminating in that win against Ohio State was probably the best sports weekend of my 4 years at Michigan.  I went to both the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight games in Lexington with one of my best friends.  We stayed in Oxford, Ohio with a high school girlfriend who was at Miami--the cradle of coaches and home to a seemingly endless array of attractive young women.

The win over OK State on Friday night was a ton of fun but not really a surprise.  The win over Ohio State that Sunday night was a surprise.  Our seats gave us a perfect view of Chris Jent's missed baseline shot at the regulation buzzer--and of Juwan's now-famous jig when OT ended.  Every Michigan student should get to experience a weekend like that during their 4 years.

I wish we had cellphones back then. Rupp Arena looked like St. John's Arena "South". They were playing the fight song and Hang on Sloopy all throughout that place. The drive back home through Ohio was sweet.

As great as that game was, Lexington was still suffering a hangover from the Duke-Kentucky game the night before. I still think that if UK holds on, we win the title that year.

Finally watched one of their stupid games....they are small but they are fast and can shoot the rock.

Will be an interesting matchup but if M 3pt defense stays the way it is and limits good looks, could see a field day for Hunter/Davis
