A Win Tomorrow will Cause me to ___, but a Loss will Cause me to___.

For me, the answers are:

-Get entirely too optimistic about how the rest of the season plays out. Even if we look just so-so and win, I will become convinced this is a "special team of destiny."

-Mostly tune-out - or tune way down - until maybe Wisconsin, when, with any luck, we are 5-1, ranked again, and in position to win a huge game and get some momentum for the murderers row portion of our schedule...

Depends on how we get to either.

A win with shaky offense and killer defense in which ND's offense looks incompetent will cause me to feel exactly the same about the season outlook as I do now.

A win with solid offense and killer defense will make me feel cautiously optimistic.

A win with Shea throwing for 300 yards and 3 TDs will make me giddy.

A loss will make me not watch another game until Nebraska.

faux mo must have edited his post.  i'm pretty sure the original one said:

win:  drag children into sewer

They're gonna win and I will celebrate and be slightly rude to the people on the board who are all "yeah they won but this bad thing happened so they're garbage."

Positivity only for me right now.

A loss will cause me to just shrug and move on with my life. It’s just a game.

A win will cause me to move on with my life, although in a slightly more excited and relaxed fashion, knowing the team has a few cupcakes to continue gelling against and working out the kinks on. But I’ll still remember that this is just a game.

Say "THIS IS THE YEAR!"

Say "this could still be the year and all you mad people are jumping the gun and here is a 10,000 word essay containing three scenarios in which our goals can still be met I'm the voice of reason listen to me after I finish weeping into my coffee."

Win or lose this game doesn’t really affect us big picture. Even though everyone will overreact including myself regardless of the outcome the gauge of this season will be beatin OSU and MSU and making it to Indy. The only way it is appropriate to overreact to this game is if we win by 30 or lose by 30. Then I will lose my shit either way

Win: Be very happy !!! Because we havent won a road game vs top 20 team since 2006 (Only Purdue and Iowa St (i think) have longer slumps out of the power confrences

Lose: Stay off the sports blogs/sites for two-three weeks (dont want to hear all the negative stuff)
