Will we know the Illinois start time this week?

I see Mgoblue says 'noon or 3:30'. If it wasn't announced for certain today, will we not find out until next Monday? Or might it be determined yet this week sometime? For scheduling purposes it would be nice to know this week.

It is kind of sad but I don't think I see anything that would knock it off of Big Noon.  Ohio State at Maryland?  Couple of big games that week but on the west coast.

That said, I could see ESPN/ABC setting up Illinois-Michigan as counterprogramming against Big Noon Saturday. Fox' best options for the day appear to be OSU-Maryland, Texas-Kansas, Bedlam (O(klahoma)SU-Oklahoma), and TCU-Baylor. None of those seem likely to feature two ranked teams. ESPN/ABC might try to steal some of Fox's thunder by showing a bigger match up in the same timeslot.

ABC also has broadcast rights to OSU-Maryland.  ABC will show both OSU-Maryland and Illinois-Michigan, between the 12:00 and 3:30 slots.

Personally, I think it's ridiculous they can't announce which is which now.  They are functionally the same game: CFP contending team that is a natural ratings draw versus somewhat above-average B1G foe that could theoretically provide a close game.  Even if U-M and/or OSU were to lose this week, that wouldn't change.

Just pick one for Noon (AA would be more fan-friendly, their weather is normally a bit colder than College Park), the other for 3:30 and move on.

The B1G ---- as they also did the week before ---- put every single game on a 6-day hold.

That includes the likes of IU-Michigan State.  Which ..... why?  It's getting minimal TV ratings anyway.  At least give the 30-40K fans who will actually be there as much notice as possible.

It's definitely not planning-friendly nor fan-friendly.  But TV rules all.

Cannot believe how disrespectful the B1G is toward fans that they would keep everyone on ice (so to speak) until less than a week before the game.  So many people have to schedule their Saturdays and the game and travel here from afar.  A couple weeks ago, I met two M fans who had traveled here from California for the game.  So many businesses in town are dependent on the Saturday football crowds and need to schedule their help accordingly, not to mention their promotions.

As a 60-season ticket holder, I prefer the noon kickoff to keep the day as warm and bright as possible, plus allow fans to leave in daylight and make it easier to enjoy a meal at one of A2s fabulous local restaurants for dinner.  Of course, night games just are super difficult for folks like me, especially as the weather gets colder.   Even this Saturday, the temp at 6 pm (during the third quarter or so) is predicted at 25 deg with a 13 mph "breeze."  Bundle up!!

The Nebraska game time was on the Big Ten website on Saturday night. Michigan announced it on Sunday morning. Check Saturday over there and you will know sooner.

Take it for what it's worth but Herbie on Gameday last Saturday alluded to the game being a noon kick with them on the call. Wont be not confirmed until this time next week.

We should know it soon. It just depends on how much time the athletic department needs to get Bart an accurate injury report. We all know how grumpy he gets when it isn't accurate.
