Why does anyone subscribe to the 247 site?
So they can be the first person to post new information on MGoBlog
I thought that was UMBig11 with Rivals stuff
See that's where you went wrong. You need to be there at least 2 months to get the real scoop. Seriously, it's for people who can't wait a few days for insider info. You get the crystal ball info immediately, but you are right, if you have a little patience, you will get the same info here, or from Sam on the radio, just not immediately.
Better question is why does anyone subscribe to BTN+
Answer: because of the covfefe that Sam brings.
Well the content on does improve during football season...........
I got one of their year deals for a ridiculously low price things but I won't be renewing.
Usually when you're on a promotional deal you don't get access to Paramount+ (previously CBS All-Access) but they just ran a promotional deal where you do get it. I figured they probably didn't have a real way to differentiate the various promotional deals so I tried to get access to it and it worked. Now it's a great deal for me for the couple of months I have left!
Its $10 bro.
And you don't have to deal with the fake intellectuals on this site.
Sam Webb alone is worth it. A lot of the scoop posted on Mgoboard comes from him and if crap gets sent his way, he'll fire back instead of blocking the sender.
This. This is exactly why I subscribe, for Sam’s info and interaction in threads. Also DOTMAN gets some good MBB tidbits as well.
Appreciate your consistency:
08/15/2020 - 9:05am Most people don't work in…
Most people don't work in science/health care.
To fill most of you in:
1. People suck at designing studies.
2. Assume 95% of studies are bullshit/exaggerated any seen effects.
3. Most acutely done studies will have severe limitations and are useless.
Block anyone in your life that uses's the term "Science Denier". There is no such thing as a settled science. People who think they are smart (Michigan grads, 99% of this board, Ace) love getting on their high horse over this stuff.
Yo, this dude kept receipts.
Without context, this comment is not far from truth. It's a bit over the top, but there absolutely is merit to what he's saying.

It's spot on if you ask me. Every time some super-educated person says some science thing is "fact" I'm reminded Eugenics was "fact" at one time. Thank god people questioned that "settled science" right?
Questioning dogma should never be disparaged or suppressed.

Not to derail this entire thread, but this point by Sir Ken Robinson (RIP) is spot on and fits with what you're saying. There is a danger to living in your head and not in the real world. The entire talk is a great watch but this part really nails it.

Ah but you better be ready to duck and cover if you DARE question anything about the Covid vaccines, masks, the ever-changing "science" of "Dr." Faux-ci. LOL

One of the big problems I have with science today is most of it based on models that are too easily manipulated. So many conclusions that are presented as fact are based almost solely on models that are changing constantly.
Something something ad hominem something strawman something non sequitur something empirical data something do you have any hard evidence with peer reviewed papers to support that opinion?
I am almost certain that people get these subscriptions so they can post a teaser here, then post the link, forget to mention it is paywalled, then listen to the bitching about the fact that it is paywalled, which is INEVITABLY followed by everyone's favorite sidebar ethics debate in journalism - "Why am I paying for this again?"
It's an endless cycle.
Because this is Michigan and we have disposable income
Football recruiting is currently dead and basketball recruiting won't pick up for a few months. That's why it seems like there's not much info. It's more interesting during peak recruiting season to people that follow.
I recently subscribed and found myself on there more often than here now. The level of information provided by Steve, Brice, and Sam is worth it. They tend to know which players Michigan is recruiting the hardest and nice scouting of those players. Plus it now includes a subscription to Paramount+ which is a nice perk. Could think of it as a streaming subscription to Paramount+ with the added perk of getting insider Michigan info.

I'd like to add that you also have access to every team's insider info. So if you were curious about how the USC insiders felt about their chances with Will Johnson compared to ours, you have access to that. You also have access to hilarious meltdowns at the MSU boards where their insiders told them players like Rayshaun Benny and Tay'shawn Trent were all MSU up until they committed to Michigan. The ensuing backlash makes the subscription worth it on it's own.
i'm sure a lot of people do, I however, do not.
In hopes that Tom Beaver will one day return
It's easier to post gifs over there.
Karen ratio is much lower and you get Paramount+ thrown in.
I ask myself this every time I see one of their advertisements

Because you can edit your post titles?

I mean to be frank, there hasn't been much activity or recruiting new in the past month. You picked a bad time for your trial

Three words: Sam motherfuckin' Webb
I bought a year subscription when it was like 80% off to give it a try. I almost never go on it. The best use for the site is if you're into recruiting rumors for football. I really don't see value in continuing my subscription after my time is up.
