Which former Big 10 stalwart turned cupcake will Michigan emulate the most until we die?

Minnesota?  Illinois?  Purdue?

Havent sobered up yet? Its 11 am the day after and you still post crap like this? Sparty troll maybe?

As per usual this forum takes it too fucking far. The response was more measured on Volnation after their 0-2 start including a loss to a not very good Sun Belt team.

What else do you expect?

It really sucks having so much disdain for a section of your own fanbase but here we are. Every time a loss happens people behave even worse than expected.

I remember when I was a child and thinking all Michigan fans were great and smart about football.

No one should have blind allegiance to any person or organization (outside of one's own children) regardless of their / its outcomes and results..  That is what fools do.  No one gets "Participation Trophies" in real life.

If you really care about Michigan Football, the worst thing you can do is say nothing about a broken system / enable the crap that is being put out there by an overpaid coach who seems to have no idea how to right the ship.

If Harbaugh cannot show the ability by the end of year 5 to have Michigan Football going in an upward trajectory, then the best possible thing for Michigan Football is to release him of his duties and go find someone else who might be able to.

Harbaugh doesn't "owe" me anything.  He does "owe" it to his players to prepare them and put them in scenarios to win.  He hasn't done that, especially in the last 2 season (really since the SC Bowl Game loss).  He has failed the very people (his players) that he is responsible for.

The way you heap relentless praise on the buckeyes and throw direct as well as constant passive aggressive negativity towards Michigan makes me question your preference.

The thing that makes me confident that it will happen again soon is the resources, tradition, and commitment of our athletic department to achieve at the highest levels.  The current program under Harbaugh has been knocking on the door for a while. If coach Harbaugh does not get us there, he has certainly turned the program in a positive direction that the next coach can build off of and take us back to the top.

I am totally pessimistic about this team and staff, but THIS is a rough post.

I wouldn't want to be where you are. Woof.

As to the topic. I think our ceiling is 2nd in the Big Ten East. OSU is elite right now and will be for the foreseeable future. Top 6 perpetually.

So PSU, plus or minus a game? Iowa, plus a game or two?

Your idea of stalwart is pretty comical.

Illinois has had 3 ten win seasons since 1983.  And 4 in their history.

Minnesota has had 1 ten win season in the last 114 years.

Purdue has had 1 ten win season in their history.

Michigan has had 3 ten win seasons in the last four years.

One thing for sure though - Wisconsin is what Michigan once was and what Michigan has been trying to get back to being for many years now.

100% on this.

We won big games, at a healthy clip. Yeah we lost some lower comp games too. But we competed on the national spotlight games, for the most part. On the road, we won. Or came close. Not this garbage.

B10 realignment/ is garbage and really has gifted Wisconsin and osu with perpetual championship game matchups. Delaney is a fool.

Michigan = Iowa

We just have a larger stadium and better fight song.

Think about what you picture Iowa's program as?  That is what we are...
