Where to watch USMNT this Saturday in Detroit?
but I remember Hamlin Pub in Rochester Hills was a good place to watch international soccer matches.... I think the England fan club in the area still meets there.
I was at the Hamlin Pub for USA-England and it was filled to capacity. There was a big contingent of English fans but we were singing and standing on the booths and whatnot.
I also went to Dick O'Dows in Birmingham for the Algeria game, they had a nice crowd (for a Wednesday morning).
Claddagh Pub in Livonia is a good soccer (football) bar. Pretty much any semi-authentic Irish/English Pub in the area would be a good place to watch the match as that is where the soccer fans will go.
Been there for two of the games and it was nuts. great environment, decent breakfast menu.
Because you're going to be in Detroit instead of South Africa, and because you can't watch a radio.
Edit: Oh come on, a guy can't make a joke?
I was at Park Bar downtown for the Algeria game. Good crowd at 10AM. It should be even better on Saturday. Tons of local beers on tap, and you can order food from the Bucharest Grill.
One of my favorite bars in the D! Great food, drinks and atmosphere...and plenty of televisions.
Edit: I don't know if they have anything soccer-specific going on but it's a neat place.
here in beautiful plymouth. great place to watch soccer and converse with the Irish barkeep.
