When will SDSU start be posted?
When are start times for future games determined? I'm assuming that TV schedules (and the popularity of upcoming games) goes into whether a game will start at noon, 3:30pm, or some other time. However, I'm considering going to several of the games where the start time is undetermined, and the start time plays a role in whether or not I'll go.
Also, with everything going into the Michigan - ND game, I feel safe in assuming there will be no "night games" set up a couple weeks in advance, but that such games have to be scheduled long ahead of time. (Hence, the Michigan - Northwestern start time was announced this summer, being it was a night game.) If this is true, the only possible time slots for game starts would be 12 & 3:30pm.
Last wrinkle: are games at Iowa & Illinois either 12 & 3:30pm local time, or EST?

All times are EST because that's the TV window.
September 6th, 2011 at 6:40 PM ^
All times are Eastern because that's the TV window.
Until Sunday November 5 (when Daylight Saving Time ends), they are EDT. After that date, they are EST.
/nitpick.

the official schedule always shows the LOCAL time. So you can expect game times at Illinois, Northwestern, Wisco, Nebraska, and Minnesota to be Central time.

When they list a 7 pm game, they mean 6 pm Central.

the official U-M football schedule (http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/mich-m-footbl-sched.html) always shows game time in the local time zone.
at Northwestern
Day: Saturday
Date: Oct. 8, 2011
Location: Evanston, Ill.
Time: 6:00 p.m. CT
don't you dare "actually actually actually" me.

OK, I can get with the Michigan schedule being the "official" one, even if it's announced differently. They do list CT on there, so there's no confusion.
September 6th, 2011 at 5:52 PM ^
They usually set the times 6-12 days before the game. I'm assuming it's the same this year.
September 6th, 2011 at 6:18 PM ^
Correct, and usually 12, especially this early in the season. Expect gametime to come out on Monday. My bet: Noon on ESPN.

Don't want to jinx it but if we go into that game with a certain record, it will be a 3:30 start. Good storyline for ABC to sell.
September 6th, 2011 at 6:14 PM ^
Hopefully noon. I love the early kickoff times. But, I agree it will depend on what happens this saturday.
September 6th, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
I am guessing the game is going to be a 3:30 start time. ABC/ESPN will want to get a piece of the market on the west coast.
September 6th, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
ABC can choose us or OSU/Colorado. In addition, they choose a Pac-12 game for the same timeslot on the opposite side of the mirror. They will get more viewers by choosing a game showing two BCS teams vs one with a mid-major.

them scheduling a noon est game for a west coast team.
September 6th, 2011 at 6:36 PM ^
and I'm going to the dang thing. 3:30 is much preferred to noon from a tailgating standpoint.

Washington in 02 was a noon start.

Play at 9 am...they might wake up by the 4th quarter.

I hope its a noon start, my friends wedding is that evening... I would not be able to go if its a 3:30 start.

Kass' wife has the final say in whether or not he can go. And what he looks at on the computer.

November games at The Big House are always noon starts no matter the opponent. Here are my timeslot predictions for the games that don't have a set time or network yet.
SDSU 3:30/ESPN
Minnesota Noon/ESPN2
State 3:30/ABC
Purdue Noon/BTN
Iowa 3:30/ESPN
Illinois Noon/ESPN
Nebraska Noon/ABC
ohio Noon/ABC

I hope that you're wrong about Minny. Because if it's on ESPN2, that means that Pam Ward 2.0 is going to be calling the game.
Also, we've had a few post daylight savings time 3:30 games in the Big House over the years. I guarantee Nebraska will be one of them.
September 6th, 2011 at 11:48 PM ^
Last time we played SDSU it was a noon game. But the circumstances are much different for this game so it could be either 3:30 or noon.
September 7th, 2011 at 8:51 AM ^
Colorado at OSU will probably get the #1 Disney slot. That could mean a night game though, which would make SDSU at UM a 3:30 game.
