What is happening at r/CFB?

I have two college football pages I check regularly throughout the day: MGoBlog and r/CFB. I wandered over there today and was greeted with this:

What is happening?!

OR a better response: There are a some negatives to reddit that a lot of detractors get frustrated by, however, there are a lot of informative topics that dig down in deeper detail than your average google search. All in all I feel reddit is a pretty solid place for a plethora of objective and subjective facts, information, research and opinions.

Thanks,

A bunch of subreddits, especially some of the bigger sports ones, including CFB and NFL, were hacked by some MAGA assholes. Sounds like they got control of various moderator accounts

The CFB and NFL ones are back to normal now though

Did their mods report it was some MAGA-related stuff? I know little about computer hacking, so it would be interesting to know how they found the culprits.

Edit: I just saw the 'locked' screen, and it's all weird pro-Trump stuff. I guess they didn't like TD getting banned for hate speech or whatever.

Apparently, there were numerous hacks at Reddit, so the buzz on Twitter read anyway.

It sounds like, little by little, things are returning to normal, or what passes for normal at Reddit.

r/cfb mods are practically anti-UM trolls.

The user posted content can be good for breaking news and less publicized stories.
