You need to be invited to visit that community.
August 7th, 2020 at 10:28 AM ^
Exactly. They wouldn't ly to you.
August 7th, 2020 at 10:39 AM ^
Well played.
So yes, as everyone below has mentioned I received my request back with the message they were hacked. Rough day for that sub.
August 7th, 2020 at 10:28 AM ^
Since when? I've visited that page daily for years. I requested to be added and have been, but now everything looks suuuuuper weird. All of the thread are red, the banner is missing, etc. Sure looks like they got hacked.

Its back to normal.
Per the moderators: "We were hacked, bear with us."

Cozy Bear, no doubt

Reddit sucks.
August 7th, 2020 at 11:11 AM ^
You suck
OR a better response: There are a some negatives to reddit that a lot of detractors get frustrated by, however, there are a lot of informative topics that dig down in deeper detail than your average google search. All in all I feel reddit is a pretty solid place for a plethora of objective and subjective facts, information, research and opinions.
Thanks,

They were hacked. The mods are working on it
August 7th, 2020 at 10:43 AM ^
I’ve been going over there a lot more lately. Even the Michigan threads seem to have good level-headed conversation even between rivals.
August 7th, 2020 at 10:48 AM ^
It's pretty good most of the time. The constant WHOA, HE, HAS, TROUBLE, WITH, THE, SNAP, stuff got real annoying in every Michigan thread but that has died down a little finally.
August 7th, 2020 at 10:56 AM ^
Getting shitstomped 44-10 tends to have that effect!
August 7th, 2020 at 11:13 AM ^
WHOA, THEY, HAVE, TROUBLE, SCORING, ANY, POINTS, WHATSOEVER!
Something happened about 2017 (maybe a growth in users) and the sub went from pretty fair and balanced to just consistently being negative to Michigan, Texas, and Tennessee.

A bunch of subreddits, especially some of the bigger sports ones, including CFB and NFL, were hacked by some MAGA assholes. Sounds like they got control of various moderator accounts
The CFB and NFL ones are back to normal now though
August 7th, 2020 at 11:08 AM ^
Did their mods report it was some MAGA-related stuff? I know little about computer hacking, so it would be interesting to know how they found the culprits.
Edit: I just saw the 'locked' screen, and it's all weird pro-Trump stuff. I guess they didn't like TD getting banned for hate speech or whatever.
it happened across many subs, was a reddit wide thing
August 7th, 2020 at 11:10 AM ^
It is what it is.
I wouldn't worry, it will probably just go away on it's own....just disappear.
August 7th, 2020 at 11:20 AM ^
And you KNOW it was a Trump supporter exactly HOW? What hyperpartisan tool
Did you look at the image?
August 7th, 2020 at 11:28 AM ^
it looks like the hackers typed the word trump next to an orange emoticon. don't think the hackers really support trump.
i'm guessing this has something to do with tik tok.
August 7th, 2020 at 11:17 AM ^
Apparently, there were numerous hacks at Reddit, so the buzz on Twitter read anyway.
It sounds like, little by little, things are returning to normal, or what passes for normal at Reddit.

at least the credit hours were not expensive...

Paste them into the Google search bar and you will get a translation if you wish.

r/cfb mods are practically anti-UM trolls.
The user posted content can be good for breaking news and less publicized stories.
August 7th, 2020 at 12:37 PM ^
That hasn't been my experience. Why do you think this is the case?
August 7th, 2020 at 12:50 PM ^
Years of being on that sub. That and just looking at what the mods have been posting to the r/cfb Twitter account the past few years.
