What's Your Sunday College Football Fix?

Submitted by yvgeni on

Coming off college football Saturdays, i want more college football talk but find it hard to find content aside from the BTN and ESPN wrap up shows.  The WTKA Sunday show seems to be gone (?)

Anyone have any secrets to satisfying the need for more college football on Sundays??

watching ESPN college football Sunday. they spent exactly 15 seconds covering the UM game so they could go back to slobbering on the SEC.

Rewatching the game without commercials is my preferred method but I guess since it was on ABC, BTN doesn't have the rights? Just a guess.

As I recall, so long as there is some media / licensing agreement between conferences or networks, then any game that was on ABC / ESPN or another network should be available after midnight on BTN2Go or on the network itself later on perhaps (like BTN In 60). That was the reason that the 2013 UConn game was not available later, I think, as there's no agreement between conferences in that case.

Watch BTN60 the Michigan game again. Watch The Final Drive on BTN. College football Sunday on ESPNU. Read all of the blogs and articles online (except the Freep). Constantly check podcast app waiting for Michigan football podcasts to come out even though they never do until Monday.

But for a delicious helping of schadenfreude, I look in on RCMB. And it seems my Sparty friends on FB are strangely quiet this morning.....

I subscribe to some college football podcasts on my iPhone and some of them are pretty quick about putting up their new episodes.  If i can get them by Sunday I like to listen to them on my way to church.  Usually though I just prowl the web until I can find anything that I missed.  On TV I usually flip it to the BTN just to avoid the SEC slobfest.  I'm looking forward to FOX carrying B1G games next year in hopes it will lead to more coverage on FS1 which I personally like over ESPN.

stayed up late watching Arizona/ UCLA      btw, RR used his 4th string QB, 3rd of the game last night, a true freshmen because of injuries.

Today, I'll rewatch the M-UW game,  after the Lions or this evening I'll watch the SEC game from CBS.  This week Tennessee/Georgia.

I recorded 4 other games and I'll try to watch them during the week.

I've long since set aside the talking heads from ESPN, many years ago they were very, very good.  Objective and generally interesting to listen to.   But for me about 10 years ago they became argumenative and not objective at all and generally very unenjoyable to watch.  Its just much better to watch the games and form your own opinions on teams rather than be spoon fed what ESPN wants you to believe.

The NFL is such a buzzkill. So, I try to watch replays of the Saturday action. Like seriously, we all know what happens on Sundays. Lions disappoint, Aaron Rodgers throws for 900 yards a game, Pats win, Joe Buck calls a Cowboys game, and all the experts gush over the shield. So on and so forth.

I honestly just peruse this board waiting for the AP ranking and recruit reaction tweets to come out, or watch highlights from other games that I missed the day before. I really don't care much to watch the NFL anymore.

I can watch it, don't get me wrong. But its such a sterile, corporate, and almost uninspiring game compared to college.
