We're going to run with all three phases routinely this year in Snowflake world.

That first punt that Bell let go and landed 3 yards behind him was an incredibly dangerous play. We were very lucky it was not a turnover. It's clear the coaches want them doing that fake catch but that could really cost us down the road.

Need someone better than Kolesar to return punts. Harbaugh highlighted that #1 for pint returner is to CATCH THE BALL and I don’t recall him fielding even 1!?

Not going to downvote you, but from my perspective 3/4 the way up in the end zone, only one of those punts looked even remotely returnable. One was several yards out of bounds, from my recollection (though I'm going to watch the entire game replay on TV at some point over the next day or two to get a better look at many things).

FWIW,  I'm rooting for the kid.  The name "Kolesar" on the back of his jersey brings back many joyful memories!

Fergodsakes, don't ever do the Villari wildcat package on a conversion attempt ever again. Moody and Robbins were solid. Corum is electric on kick returns. Coverage units were impressively disciplined, especially for the first live action of the year

I don't get what's up with the returner. I doubt he can break one off, but he didn't even field one and let a couple bounce pass him. I feel like they'll block some punts, they got close and the blocked field goal was refreshing. Corum was great returning, we have some explosive guys to put back there.

Between Blake Corum and Ronnie Bell, it was explosive. Now Ronnie is injured but I'll keep my fingers crossed. I didn't like running into the kicker late in the 4th quarter to keep WMU's drive alive and led to their garbage TD. That led them to a B+. Would have been an A if not for the kicker incident.

Special teams looked great. Obviously Ronnie Bell going down was a huge problem, but that’s no one’s fault. You just have to suck it up, move on and declare for the next man up. and hope to god he didn’t tear his ACL.
