And did you see that Pitt/WVU game, G.F22? I did. Pat White got hurt in that game and missed much of it. Slaton and company kept fumbling. Their usually reliable kicker missed two chip shot field goals. Excuses? Not if I, who doesn't give a rats ass about WVU or what Rich Rodriguez did there, bring them up. And Pitt/WVU is a rivalry game. I think you folks down in Columbus have a little knowledge of what it's like to blow a chance at a national championship in a rivalry game.

Sparty fans wonder why they don't get respect. This is their answer: When you don't make t-shirts and billboards about beating a 20th ranked and a 3-9 team. When you can win this game and move on like it was just another game, you will have respect.

did you notice or have you heard anyone talk about the 2 point converstion in the ND/Wash game this weekend? I watched the end and I watched that play 4 times and the ND rb's knee was down before he scored. I was just wondering if anyone has seen that or brought it up.Thanks

That's the "luck of the Irish" for ya. Seen it against Michigan way too many times. Speaking of luck, them showing footage of "clock gate" and then interviewing TJ Duckett and Jeff Smoker almost made me throw up during the game (and it had nothing to do with all of the alcohol I had consumed).

Maybe not humble, but I'd doubt we'd make t-shirts for beating MSU this year. And I agree with everyone else- I think the scoreboard t-shirt in MGoStore re: ND is kind of bad form. I like to think we're better than that as a fanbase/mgoreadership. Or maybe that's just me being naive.

I'll bet Irish knows all about T-shirts, like the beautiful "Catholics vs Convicts" shirts from the 1988 Miami game, or Miami's "The Luck Stops Here" shirts from 1989. The luck did stop there in the Orange Bowl for ND; Miami beat them and went on to win the National Championship. ND didn't know it at the time, but it was one of their last two chances to win one since 1988; they failed both times. Why? Because a book called "Under the Tarnished Dome" would be published in 1993. It would accuse Lou Holtz, among other things, of ignoring injured players as though they didn't exist until they got well enough to play. To be fair, the book was a hatchet job, but it ruined Holtz' ability to recruit because parents didn't believe him anymore. All opposing recruiters had to do was buy a copy of the book for the parents and "loan" it to them. ND never recovered; neither did Holtz. And now, Irish knows all about humility, too.

So, how many of those Mgostore ND score Tees have sold? Not may, right? The reason the Rivals store puts out the Sparty Tee is because they can sell a bunch to the the Mike Valenti nutjobs out there.
