Week 4: Best thing you saw...

Submitted by mi93 on
While Louisville may have the most John Hancock of signature wins so far this year, it may be hard to argue against next week's opponent as having the best resume. Bucky's manhandling of Sparty is probably the best thing I saw this week as far as an entire game is concerned (though some good ones are still ongoing). Bucky is for realz. But this week, the best thing I saw was the reminder of the youth, exuberance, and joy with which #5 plays the game. Peppers dancing. Peppers' anguish as he stumbled toward the goal line on the first punt return. And the best of all, late second quarter, lined up to Speight's right in a two HB set, going in motion to the right, and as he glides down the line, motioning to the DB with just his fingers, telling the DB "yeah, you'd better come check me," on a play where he was a decoy. The joy of football as presented by Jabril Peppers was the best thing I saw today. How 'bout you?

Drake Johnson suiting up for the game, and Colorado's win at Oregon with their back up QB, , which included two of the best effort TD catches we will see this year.

The best thing was Michigans domination throughout the entire game. It was wonderful to see the running game gain confidence. I won't pretend that Penn State is good, but it helps the confidence of the players going into next week.
Notre Dame losing was the other highlight. They are a train wreck and I'm loving every minute of that.

I am going to just say this because it feels good for me to get it out - even if it was just for the one week, watching the Michigan State Spartans under Mark Dantonio do some very John L. Smith / Bobby Williams / latter day Perles type things was.....refreshing.

Also, the finish to LSU / Auburn was crazy, and when I saw the final snap in slow motion, I began to ask myself - why is it that LSU players just did not see the urgency of getting set and getting that snap off? Seriously. A great play that, on further examination, rightly did not count.

Loved Michigan's foot on the gas mentality throughout the game yesterday. We will need to play 60 full minutes for the first time next week so that ability will come in handy.

WHAT I SAW THAT I HATED

WHY WE NOT GO FOR 2 AFTER 7TH TD TO GET TO 50 PTS AGAINST THOSE PEDO ENABLERS. JMFH is losing his touch, He def would have done it against Tricky Pete Carroll. I was gravely disappointed. Plus considering the wind and all. WANT MOAR POINTS.

SO MANY THINGS!

1) The first half of the Penn State game and the absolute domination it showed

2) Wisconsin running all over State; in particular the fumble return for a TD to start the second half which showed everyone the first half wasn't a fluke and the first time in what feels like forever turnovers didn't go Sparty's way.

3) Duke's winning field goal over ND

4) COLORADO OVER OREGON. Besides way boosting our resume (I think the Buffs will be ranked after they beat Oregon State next week), it was actually an incredible back and forth game with a stellar ending.
