Working until 11 then going home and pounding caffeine to try and stay awake. 

Hoping for a 31-0 halftime lead so I can go to bed. 

Props to all of you who show up for this one.  Got about 15” of lake effect snow on the ground on the west side.  All sporting events have been canceled this morning.  Here’s to hoping our boys show up and kick some Illini ass!

Been up for a while looking at the day's "get it done" list. Minor shopping this morning; go to an open house or two for a small dwelling for/with older son; watch Big Bert scowl as we open various gaps and "run to daylight" while Minter Magic stuffs them repeatedly; celebrate the W for a few minutes; send out emails to setup the next few weeks' action items; dine with bride; watch a decent movie; sleep.

Very into this Montana State College Gameday.

Well, it's our Kansas family's Thanksgiving today. "Fortuitously" our high temp yesterday was 25 degrees. I say fortuitously because it is my task to do most of the food prep and the weather was not tempting us to do outside farm work.

So, yesterday I made our family's two favorite desserts, dressing and deviled eggs. The turkey will go in the oven at 9. I plan to make a batch of homemade ice cream while the turkey is baking. The final menu will be turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet corn, deviled eggs, pickled beets, cranberry salad...might whip up a batch of dinner rolls yet-we'll see. Dessert is graham cracker fluff and concord grape pie-the Kansas gangs favorites by a significant margin. (The "fluff" is an Amish/Mennonite, family dish. It is the indisputable family favorite that only my grandmother made  and for the last 50+ years I am the only one who makes it. I have never had nor seen it made by anyone else.) And, ice cream for anyone who feels as though they have been, in any way, slighted or neglected ;) 

The Michigan fans among us will try to keep track of the game-are hoping for no stress :)

Been up since 5am and this is the hardest period of time for me. The clock moves in slow motion waiting for kickoff. I try to find things to do to move the time along but can't stop looking at the time.

Is it noon yet? 

My young daughter is sick so we’re taking her to the doctor in a bit. I feel sort of shitty, too, from the weather changes. Might take a nap. Hoping for a stress-free day.

Kids have soccer games at 1:30 the next two weeks. This week I guess I can live with, but next week is going to kill me. Stay warm for those going and go blue!

21° with a wind chill of 11 here. More snow on the way. Think I will stay inside all day and watch football.

Beat dem biting illini 

A reminder that Harbaugh is 41-0 in front of a full Michigan Stadium vs teams not named OSU/MSU 

It was a very cold tailgate. Difficult to stay warm and had to get out of the wind a lot. The traffic has been lighter than normal 1-2 hrs before kickoff. The mood is festive as usual for the hometown fans.

I always loved the uniqueness and scent of a real tree. Much more of a hassle, though, and we put up 2 trees (one in the finished basement and one in the first floor foyer) so we use artificial. 

Really need a dub today for all the obvious reasons, plus I live in IL and the fans are insufferable when it comes to their main "rival" Michigan!!

To get in we must beat OSU! and wind the B1G championship. If we stumble Today, which I doubt this team will,  our chances to make the  playoffs will be the same.
