I'm not sure how long voting has been live, but I just happened upon it. I thought it was an appropriate post for tonight given the draft and all. Vote for Trey for best male college athlete of the year. Other categories of note include Best Play, where you can vote in multiple rounds to prevent the Clowney hit from winning, as well as some TMart run that I didn't even care to watch because I was afraid of an announcer saying he was faster than Denard.

First thing I thought too. Made me sick to my stomache but I had to vote for the Clowney hit too.
You voted for a play that involved a DE hitting a RB when he wasn't even touched by the offensive linemen? If Clowney shed a block or two and still made that hit, sure, it would be great, but it wasn't that great of a play because he wasn't even close to being blocked. The best part about that play was Vince's standing almost right away.
You have a good point so I'm not sure why you got neg'd. I know there has been a backlash against the people who degrade the hit just because we were on the opposite side so maybe you're getting caught in that.
However, I completely agree with you. It was an AMAZING hit, but the best part of the play was Clowney snatching the ball up with one hand. The hit was so good because it was pure athleticism rather than a good play.
