I don’t think tommy Paul is going to be the guy regularly competing for titles. Fritz or Tiafoe seem the most likely to get one random one and Korda might have the highest ceiling but none of them really look like consistent top 5 guys who will regularly compete

Tommy played great. Returned very well and put consistent pressure on Alcaraz’s serve. Carlos didn’t look his sharpest the last two matches. Let’s see how he plays next week in Cincinnati before heading to the USO.

They released the Cincinnati draw tonight ----- Alcaraz and Paul would face-off in the Round of 16 (early!!!) there.
So a re-match may be only 6 days away.
Regardless of anything in Cinci, Paul has to feel confident entering NYC. Feels like he could have a BIG run in him.

I saw that - a chance for T. Paul to beat Alcaraz three times in a row. The Canada - Cincinnati back-to-back is very demanding though. Having M1000 tournaments in consecutive weeks is probably harder than a two week slam because you have to play pretty much every day and travel in between. Let’s see how Tommy does in semis today.

Canada - Cincinnati is probably the toughest 2-week slog in tennis. It's invariably 88 degrees and humid every day. I know Roddick pulled the Canada - Cincinnati double in 2003, then won NYC.
