Strangely quiet.  I thought he was going to commit post BBQ he seemed so high on the school.  Now with Harbaugh here I thought he'd commit.  But really haven't heard a peep about him.

Crystal ballz still favors UM but its all over the place with Miami and Kentucky there.

EDIT - google search indicates he is a Kentucky lean at this point.

Lewis told Rivals.com earlier in the week that the Wildcats are his leaders, followed by Washington State and Miami. Lewis, a teammate of UK commitment Jabari Greenwood at Gonzaga High School, has already visited UK and Washington State and will see Miami on Jan. 16. He also told Rivals that he would welcome interest from Michigan if new coach Jim Harbaugh reaches out.

So I thought I would put some context to the Rose Bowl comments. My son and I have been UCLA season ticket holders for the last 12 years and while the experience and attendance is nothing like the Big House things have changed significantly. The Rose Bowl holds approx 93k which in season will nearly fill only if it's a game against USC. 5 years or so ago general attendance was normally in the mid 50s but during the Mora years has creeped up into the high 60s or so. One also has to understand as noted the Stadium is almost 30 miles from campus and the students have many other choices in The city of Angeles for Sat activities. One other thing working against at least student attendance is UCLA does not start classes until at least the 3rd week of Sept which limits student attendance for sometimes as many as 3 home games. The crowds are very subdued and as is the case in SOCAL late in getting in and sitting down. Other changes in the last three years as part of a 200 Million plus Rose Bowl upgrade is an expanded press box and luxury seats along with hedges and increased concessions and toilets in the tunnels for down close fan use. It's now a somewhat livable stadium experience. Mora has brought a different feel to the team but in big moments the team continues to loose focus and discipline. Part of what hold back UCLA has benn traditionally a reluctance to pay well for head coaches and assistants, the overall situation of cost of living and high taxes in what some of us call Taxifornia works against retaining and bringing in good assistants. When an assistant coach can make the same money in lower cost and lower taxed areas such as even Columbus or Lincoln or Knoxville or Austin or Tallahassee and possibly have a better family experience in those areas choices are made. It's my upfront in your face college experience (1st row 30 yd line behind UCLA bench) so it meets my college game time experience need, not the big house but almost always 70 degrees sunny and clear.

Toilet availability is much better when you can walk down a few steps and into the tunnel to brand new clean no line availabity then up and out and in line. You would note the significant difference if you were there. Being able to access a close by toilet to pee is a must as one gets older if not there yet you will experience the need, just go ask your dad.

Agree on all the positives, UCLA has been a program that has woefully underachieved vs what they should be.  That said, with so much NFL smoke around Mora I would have thought that would hurt mindshare among commits - you'd want the coach you commited to, to be around for your 4-5 years and he seems very unlikely to.  But I guess it doesn't matter.

We used to fill up our classes early so NSD was more of a formality, except for the year they had to put an APB out on Sam McGuffie.  Just the hope that we could land familiar 4* or 5* names and some lesser known dudes we're just finding out about is pretty exciting.

I believe I share that - there has been a stretch where it seemed like we more or less knew who was coming on NSD, the faxes came in, usually by lunch or so and that was pretty much that. The intrigue and renewed interest in Michigan that seems to have sprung from the Harbaugh hire and from the staff now assembled has me very interested in what we'll see on the 4th of February.

I am excited to see what this staff will be able to do with a full year of recruiting. One thing Hoke and his staff were able to do was bring in highly ranked classes. Considering (forgot where I read it on here) Hoke did not have email or any other kind of social media, it makes you wonder how much better his classes could have been, or how good the classes will be with this staff since it has been noted they are very heavy on the social media.

I think recruiting will be the least of our concerns in 2016 and on.

The staff is making a lot of headway with recruits in just a week. We may not land many of these guys in the '15 class, but going forward we're going to be landing some big names
