Two fun facts

First one I came up with myself. Second one I heard on BTN this morning.

1-Michigan’s margin of victory yesterday was more than the combined margin of victory in the five other B1G games. 49-39.

2-None of Michigan’s opponents have taken an offensive snap inside the Michigan ten yard line. In eight games, no “goal-to-go’s”!!

Life is good. GO BLUE!!

good afternoon sunshine.  hey, you ever going to have the guts to share all your prior banned mgoaccounts, or are you just too cowardly for that?

also, the general consensus was exactly what LSA has done, less threads, less time at the top.

seriously though, come on, spill the beans, list all your prior banned accounts.  please.

The turnaround over the last 3 years is remarkable. Entering the 2021 season, Michigan's last road win at:

  • Penn State was 2015 (2 game losing streak)
  • Iowa was 2005 (4 game losing streak)
  • Wisconsin was 2001 (5 game losing streak)
  • Ohio State was 2000 (9 game losing streak)
  • Nebraska was never (0-1-1 all time)

All of those have been flipped.

Not football related but this is a fun fact:

But strangely, the praying mantis has just a single ear,
located on the underside of its belly, just forward of its hind legs.

Yeah I know has nothing to do with anything.

And that's not the really notable part! The female usually/often eats the male after sex. (It assures her nutritional needs for reproduction.)

The extremely notable fact is that due to the nature of their anatomy, the female often first eats the male's head  -- AND THE MALE CAN CONTINUE THE SEX ACT AFTER HIS HEAD HAS BEEN EATEN!!!!!!!!

(You may ask why I know this?  Because once you know it - you can't forget it!)

From today's ESPN Bowl Projections:

Michigan is only the third team in the AP Pol era to score at least 325 points and allow fewer than 50 through eight games, joining the 1972 Nebraska and 1993 Florida State squads.

We actually have faced one defensive snap inside the 10, but we used that one snap to get a TFL back to the 12.  The drive ended outside the 10, but can't remember if it was a FG or turnover on downs.  I think it was Minnesota, but can't remember, they brought it up in the broadcast.

It was Indiana, and it was at the 10, rather than inside it, and it wasn't goal-to-go:

  • 1st & 10 at MICH 14

(12:19 - 1st) Christian Turner run for 4 yds to the MICH 10
  • 2nd & 6 at MICH 10

(12:19 - 1st) Christian Turner run for a loss of 1 yard to the MICH 11
  • 3rd & 7 at MICH 11

(12:19 - 1st) Indiana Penalty, False Start (-5 Yards) to the MICH 16
  • 3rd & 12 at MICH 16

    (6:35 - 1st) Tayven Jackson pass intercepted
