Except our own...

....until they go to Iowa and talk shit on the way out.

That's great. He has good size too 6-6, 251. Hopefully he can block well.
December 15th, 2022 at 3:57 PM ^
If there is one thing I am confident in a Harbaugh staff teaching, it is TE blocking.
December 15th, 2022 at 7:15 PM ^
Erick All's dad is prepared to fight you.
December 15th, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
Yeah someone will have to make up for the loss of All and Loveland's inability to block anything at all. /s

The player to be named later in the Zach Carpenter trade. I think we also get IU's 3rd round selection in the 2026 supplemental draft, if I remember that deal correctly.

We've got the edge what with our favorable weather and bundled women. I mean, what do they have compared to that?
December 15th, 2022 at 4:21 PM ^
Churros and smog.

Chiclets?

I'm loving the team's strategic approach to the portal.
Only taking proven performers at a few positions of need. Clearly there will be - due to graduations and players leaving for the NFL draft - holes at OL, LB, TE, Edge.
Improves the team without alienating too many current players on the roster.

"I'LL BE CHOOSING BETWEEN MICHIGAN"
December 15th, 2022 at 3:35 PM ^
Edge rusher for USC defense, which does not exist, or play for UM who just sent two top edge rushers to NFL. Easy choice.
December 15th, 2022 at 3:40 PM ^
Hard decision, which school is Pass Rush U again?
December 15th, 2022 at 4:03 PM ^
It feels so weird to be actually getting multiple players through the portal... just not something that happened at Michigan very often. Does anyone think that admissions at UM has actually made some concessions to ease the process?
A team like Michigan, which has a really solid foundation, can continually bring in some semi-raw athletes with huge upside, and have the time to develop them as upper classmen. A combination of good coaching, decent recruiting and getting solid prospects through the Portal seems like a good mid to long-term strategy. Could compensate a bit for the schools lack of NIL funding.

My hope is that our newfound flexibility with portal transfers is a gift from our new President Santa!!

I think everyone we've gotten still is either a grad transfer or freshmen which is what we've always had no trouble getting in.
December 15th, 2022 at 8:04 PM ^
How many freshman have we had transfer in?
December 15th, 2022 at 4:49 PM ^
Maybe NIL is easier to award to someone who has earned it at the college level?
December 15th, 2022 at 4:12 PM ^
Do you reeeallllyyy want to go play on a defense Riley as head coach....I dunno about that one.
December 15th, 2022 at 6:32 PM ^
USC without Caleb Williams is a dumpster fire
UM without Corum, Cade, All and NHG is big ten champs
Choose wisely my friend
December 15th, 2022 at 4:14 PM ^
Seems like a decision that will come down to Southern California weather, etc versus you know Michigan actually putting something on the field that resembles defense and developing defensive players.
December 15th, 2022 at 4:18 PM ^
That’s a closer decision that you would like to think haha!

Swing your Sword...like a Wolverine...not a ruptured Trojan!! 〽️
December 15th, 2022 at 4:24 PM ^
So, beaches, great weather, and hot girls, or.....Michigan? Hmmmm.
I kid. I kid. I'm sure he's coming to Michigan. Quality football outweighs all of that other stuff. 😉
December 15th, 2022 at 4:35 PM ^
i would take any b1g school (except sparty) over any school in Cali
weather doesn't do enough to make up for **broadly spreads arms** the rest of what is Cali.
source? i lived there for 5.5 years.
December 15th, 2022 at 5:21 PM ^
Your opinion.
December 15th, 2022 at 8:48 PM ^
Your opinion.
Did he imply otherwise?
December 15th, 2022 at 6:03 PM ^
There is a reason property values in California dwarf property values in Michigan.
Hint: it's supply and demand
December 15th, 2022 at 6:50 PM ^
I got a friend that lived in Flint for 5.5 years and says Michigan is a shit hole. Yeah imagine hearing someone using the same logic in reverse with every "California sucks" hot take.
December 16th, 2022 at 12:20 AM ^
You obviously didn’t do it right.
December 15th, 2022 at 4:38 PM ^
Well hopefully he’s spent the last few years near a beach and all the fun in the sun and will want to actually come play good defensive football. If this kid had spent the last few years in upstate New York or something I’d be a little more worried about the California sun and fun.
December 15th, 2022 at 4:38 PM ^
CAn he take an official visit to the Fiesta Bowl?
December 15th, 2022 at 5:28 PM ^
I wonder what team I would pick in terms of player development?
December 15th, 2022 at 5:31 PM ^
Out of place, they don't play D out west.
December 15th, 2022 at 5:45 PM ^
In other transportal (that’s what I’m calling it) news Alan Bowman entered his name into the database. Interesting with our qb depth just Warren, With the two freshman after JJ.

Grayson McCall, come on down!

Let's hope it is cold and snows in South Central!

I'm hoping our EDGE elite level player development is taken notice here. Our staff is molding these EDGE players perfectly for high level success in College and the Pros.
O-JA-BO!...came from nowhere to high draft choice.
