6:50 mark ...nice
Didn't he have offseason knee surgery?
Yes, he had “a procedure” when he got to Michigan which is why he missed Spring practice. I am not a doctor but I don't think it was a major surgery or that it was preventing him from playing up to that point, though he did sit out the All American game. Michigan and Charbonnet purposely waited (and got him to enroll early) so it could be done by M surgeons.
Meniscus clean up. Mostly precautionary. Should be good to go for fall camp.
"clean up on aisle knee"
i'll show myself out.
Harbaugh said it was his meniscus so no biggie.
Not like it was a ligament or micro-fracture. Small potatoes.
Why would anyone feel the need to post a garbage video by a random garbage site?
Garbage comment from a garbage poster
I wouldn't be surprised to see him get few carries the first 3 or 4 games, but his work load to get more and more as the season goes.
Yeah, I think a lot will have to do with how Turner and Wilson play early. The MTSU and Army games aren't going to require a stud RB to help the offense succeed, but if Turner and Wilson do a very good job early, they might keep the workload light on Charbonnet because he has the highest ceiling and will be needed down the line.
If Turner and Wilson struggle, they might unwrap Charbonnet a little earlier to help things move along.
We so need ZC to pan out as the highly touted recruit that he was listed as. UM seems to just bust on highly ranked RB's. Grady, Isaac, Green, Evans, etc. They ended up being absolute complete grease fires or no more than an average B10 back at best. I can't imagine how it would help our offense to have a true threat at RB. Something we haven't had in probably 15 years.
Evans is a weird one to put in that group. Nowhere near the recruiting hype that the others were. He was .8911, #24 RB which was lower in the 4 star range than guys like Walker and Green who were top 5.
Plus he had 1,200 in his first 2 seasons as a back up and then got hurt last year.
But yes, Charbonnet really needs to be a hit with the situation they have at RB right now.
I must be remembering wrong...I thought Evans was a consensus 4 Star. My Bad.
OSU offered Evans last minute...at CB
I thought Evans came in as a slot.
Yep meniscus surgery is usually not a big deal unless there is a major tear. If it's a minor edge tear they sometimes just clip it off to keep it from continually getting stuck in the joint, which can be annoying and painful.
I had several knee surgeries by Dr Carpenter, he is one of the best orthos in the country.
This video was pretty hard to watch. Poor editing and commentary that doesn't really add anything or make you better informed about the prospect. It's mostly just
"Ooooo ahhh, yoooo, look at this, hit em with muscle relaxers, yeaaaaa boy, uh huh, wow, nice, ohhhhhhhh, see him right here, he's a bad boy dude, look at this look at this man dooooood, muscle relaxers haha, look at this, so dope, love it."
The video says "film study" but it seems like the guy just adds weird sound effects and compliments.
Ok, Spielberg
Is it too much to ask the guy throw in some special effects? Maybe some explosions or some bad guy Russians?
Maybe even have Stevie janowski edit it.
EB&D reference wins this thread.
How about a glowing football and fire from his feet when he breaks away from the pack.
Yeah, I second. I made it about 90 seconds in and couldn't keep watching because the dude is so annoying.
My god that was horrible to listen to. I guess I thought this was some sort of professional critique. Not some dude in his basement fooling around with video editor and trying to be Michael Winslow.
You're getting negged, but I agree. There's not much true analysis going on, and he likes to pause and hit slo-mo a little too much.
I personally love the tiny yellow circles to highlight something he can't zoom in on. My optometrist thanks him.
What do you expect from a guy that can't spell 'Billing'?
Maybe it's supposed to be "top bile-ing"
You seem like the type of dude to call the cops if someone wears their pants too low.
If their pants are so low that it is exposing their cock, and it's at my kid's elementary school, then yes, I'm calling the police.
EDIT: I was joking. Yikes. I'm getting called an elitist fuck and racist because I criticized a YouTube video. Chill out, guys.
Your comment has more dick in it than whatever you think you're seeing.
Calling the cops on someone for dressing different from you is elitist as fuck. Get over yourself.
Who are you responding to?!
*old man yells at sky*
I have no idea what that dude is yelling about. This thread got out of hand quickly.
Uhhhh, what the fuck? No, I wouldn't call the cops on someone dressing differently than me. Jesus, where is this even coming from?
Are you ok?
First you critiqued a guy for his commentary, focusing on the way he talks. Then you made a "joke" about calling the cops on someone for sagging their pants.
It also wasn't clear that you were joking in the post I replied to. I apologize if I over reacted.
There's just too much dumb shit like that actually happening these days and it's frustrating as hell to me.
I said I would call the cops if someone exposed their cock at an elementary school, and you took this to mean I was criticizing people who were sagging and basically called me a racist. Chill out.
Also, I was not "focusing on the way he talks" but rather, focusing on how his bad commentary had zero substance and was basically just a lot of "oooooo's and ahhhhh's". I have nothing against the way he talks, put down your "RACISM" pitchfork. I DO have something against a "film study" just being fan service and not providing insightful commentary.
I can't believe someone like you would get this crazily upset over something so minor.
Uhhh that's a pretty vivid fantasy you've created for yourself there bud. Might want to talk about those feelngs before you act on them.
I actually like his commentary/personality. He clearly loves football and knows more than most of us when it comes to X&Os and recruiting. Glad to see more Michigan content from him.
"He knows more than most of us when it comes to X&Os"
I'm not convinced.
And if this is true, then it's a sad commentary on how uninformed the casual fan is.
But I already knew that. Just look at how many replies one of Seth's Xs/Os Neck Sharpie posts gets versus "MSU admin is morally bankrupt" threads.
Most fans don't truly want to understand the game. They just want to see M win so they can (1) enjoy it and (2) maybe shit-talk our rivals.
I don't know what you people are talking about. I'm making "He hit 'em with the muscle relaxer" my go-to phrase for the summer. Love this dude and his mellow commentary.
Folks aren’t going to like this comparison for obvious reasons but ZC reminds me of Zeke Elliot in frame. I think ZC is taller but lower body build and speed that’s my comparison
I'd say I'd hope he'd have a similar Freshman campaign to a Jonathan Taylor but I don't want him getting 300!! carries. Sweet McGillicutty I don't want us to run that much.
Taylor has 606 rushes in 2 seasons at UW. Higdon, by comparison, had 471 career carries in 4 years at Michigan.
That's one of the reasons Najee Harris picked Alabama. He was sold on the idea of a RB by committee approach to save his body for the NFL. Taylor needs to go pro after this season so he can start earning some money with those carries.
Shame, I know another school that used a running back by committee approach when he was choosing where to commit.
Even after only 3 years, Taylor will have taken a LOT of hits. I would never draft a guy with that much wear and tear, no matter how productive he was in college.
