This is too funny - Hail to the Victors

I wonder if the folks in East Lansing can appreciate the caption.  The "Hail" refers to a Hail Mary pass at the end of the game.

It is proof that no matter how well Sparty does, they are still irrelevant.  Some weekend part-timer at Fox Sports probably thought MSU was the school with the Victors theme song.  Fox looks stupid and Sparty looks less-than-relevant.  

Everybody wins.

I'm just glad that whenever I get the slightest urge to look elsewhere on the interwebs, where I may be confronted with Sparty love and all the glory that is Sparty right now....that I can just click on my mgoblog bookmark. It makes me feel like I am safe and sound in my house, nothing outside to frighten me, move along nothing to see out there. Thank you mgoblog.

Copywriter: "Hey guys....some University in Michigan just won on a hail mary.  We need a pithy headline"

Editor: "What did you say?  I'm watching Access Hollywood.  Did you hear about Ashton and Demi?"

Copywriter: "I did.  As a matter of fact I saw him and that new girl at Spagos.  Acted like they didn't have a care in the world."

Editor: "Oh...football.  Hate that sport......anyways did you say University of Michigan....are they the ones with the wierd helmets?

It's not funny, of course. I found it to be something of a smack in the face.

If anything here is funny, it is that there was someone at Fox Sports actually thinks they are funny.

Oh everybody just chill out.  They hated on us for pulling the ND game out of our ass, too.  Now is not the time to try and pull the little brother thing. It's just tacky by now.  Our paths have crossed and the game is behind us.  Let's try worrying about Purdue now because talking about MSU so much makes us look like insecure assholes.

let's move on to Purdue and quit commenting about sparty. Michigan will return to supremecy in the next few years. We are still a one loss team, the only loss coming in a game that could have had a different outcome. It was no ass kicking. Purdue just knocked off Illinois, a team that many apparently believe is going to be one of our losses this season. Let's beat Purdue and move on and leave sparty in the rearview. Go Blue
