Bring on Bama.

lets beat state
October 14th, 2018 at 12:56 AM ^
And then bring on Bama?
October 14th, 2018 at 2:44 AM ^
More Bama, please.

Personally, I'd like us to rematch Wisconsin in the BIG Championship and ND in the CFP.
October 14th, 2018 at 11:27 AM ^
No thanks. I'll pass on a rematch in a conference championship. Always hard to beat a team multiple times in a season. Regardless, we have a lot of work to get to that point in the first place. I like this team. I like this staff. However, we still have room for a lot of improvement. One week at a time.

Our game at the big house two years ago should have been a double digit win if not for us missing 3 chip shot field goals. Hornibrook had about as miserable a day against our D that day as he did tonight.

This M team is legit, period. Huge challenge next week, but we will not overlook them this year. They just beat a very good Penn State team on the road. Beating a strong MSU team that is confident will mean so much more. There cannot be any caveats or excuses that we beat them when they were down. We will have a chance to reclaim the state, shut down the media haters, finally win that road game against a ranked team, and take complete control of our destiny in the conference.

They haven't over looked them once since harbaugh has been here. Msu has just been incredibly lucky to pull out two wins.
This may sound like I'm being a sore loser. However, go back and read Brian's nevk sharpies from after the game. It broke down every call both fanbase complained about. It was the most one-sided officiated game I have seen outside of OSU 16. And they still needed a miracle. Last year they were very lucky with turn overs and Michigan still had a shot at the end.
Msu will have to be equally as lucky this yeat. If the bounces break even Michigan beats them as bad as they did Wisconsin.

OK Squash settle down.
Huge difference between a night game at home and playing MSU on the road.
We aren't going on the road and beating MSU by 25.
A 1pt victory will do.
October 14th, 2018 at 10:10 AM ^
Ok, I will settle for 24.
October 14th, 2018 at 6:32 AM ^
Those are all solid points squash. I do believe, however, that facing them immediately after their huge upset over penn state willl prevent our players from subconsciously underestimating them. They did lose to northwestern after all, and our players are still human beings (with the possible exception of Ben Mason - who is more likely a human/machine hybrid).

Nice way to start off this stretch. I'll enjoy this win tonight but, tomorrow morning I'll start to prepare for Michigan State... :D
October 14th, 2018 at 2:23 AM ^
Pretty meaningless stat. Has nothing to do with the current season.
October 14th, 2018 at 5:30 AM ^
Your team looks more exposed by the week while ours gets better and this is what you post? You should probably go worry about your team's stats against Minnesota.
October 14th, 2018 at 6:16 AM ^
You mad, troll?
October 14th, 2018 at 2:50 AM ^
I love the third tag by the op. :D
October 14th, 2018 at 5:33 AM ^
I hope the same people here saying we are legit are not the same assholes who were calling for heads after the ND game...
October 14th, 2018 at 8:04 AM ^
We are legit & I am calling for head!
October 14th, 2018 at 8:48 AM ^
Some are! Take that to the bank! Have you read the game thread? You would think the squad is 1-6.
October 14th, 2018 at 10:24 AM ^
A lot of them are. This is why I wish people would just sit down and stfu, and not try to sound like they have a better understanding of football than Harbaugh, or Pep, or any of our coaching staff. It's dumb, and makes them look dumb.
They (our coaches, and Harbaugh specifically) know the team, they know what we do well, and what we need to tune up. There are very good reasons that we kept things super simple through the first few games, and gradually open things up. Both for future game planning, and to keep the team on track.
But the same people will be back saying stupid shit the next time we call a new "trick play", or wrinkle that doesn't work. People are fucking stupid.
October 14th, 2018 at 8:28 AM ^
Let's not get all dilly dilly over that stat. There is a lot of football left to be played and 20/20 hindsight is, well, just that.
Should Michigan find a way to be part of the playoffs and win the whole enchilada, then I'd say there is something to it.
But the mere fact it has been mentioned has probably already jinxed the team.
October 14th, 2018 at 9:32 AM ^
Excellent point. Time to handle all family business.
October 14th, 2018 at 9:42 AM ^
we’ll see. they’re going to have to play just as well to win next week, if not better. they can definitely do it given what we saw last night. but still have to prove we can get over our road woes.
October 14th, 2018 at 10:24 AM ^
Okay, so because the Penn State offense basically gave them the game yesterday and their defense gave away the lead to the buc and sharty it means that MSU is all of a sudden a top team in the B1G? They just lost to NW last week and it looked very sad at the end from them. That was the most pathetic ending I've seen to a game in my life. Not saying NW is bad but it says that Sharty isn't superb. Sharty's offense isn't much either yet Michigan is going to have to play a way better game? Just shutup. There's no Johnathan Taylor on that team, no one even close and who says Lewerke is better than Hornibrook? Not this guy so your only argument is their defenses and who's better. Well we all saw what Michigan did to the Wiscy defense last night. 320 yards rushing and basically a 38 to 7 win. All Michigan has to do is come out fired up, ground and pound them and they'll submit. They're a bunch of losers fearing for their 3rd loss.
October 14th, 2018 at 11:05 AM ^
Wisconsin has real vulnerabilities. Michigan did well to win in the manner they did but let’s keep our feet on the ground.

Most important quote from the article imho:
"Michigan State lives to disturb and disrupt teams that think they have their shit together, and Michigan definitely qualifies at the moment."
