TomVH: DL Darian Cooper
DL Darian Cooper, from DeMatha High School just sent me a message to let me know he has been offered by Michigan. Cooper, who stands at 6-foot-3, and 280 pounds, received the offer yesterday from Coach Dews.
He is tentatively set to visit Michigan on May 21st, but might try to make it up earlier. Besides Michigan, he has offers from Penn State, Maryland, Illinois, Marshall, East Carolina, and Bryant.
As always, the highlights....
Looks like he has good hands, but it's hard to judge his game speed because the video quality is way too herky-jerky for me. It looks like it may have been tampered with(if so they did a poor job of it)and I nearly got motion sickness from watching it. Thanks for the info Tom, DeMatha would be a nice place to get more connections in.
Penn State offer? Sign him up.
He can't be half bad then, PSU had only about 20 actionable offers out last I saw.
"actionable offer" is so bothersome to me. I know EVERY school does it, M too, but still...
"We think we like you, but maybe not as much as this other kid. We want you, but... not for sure yet. You just sit on that offer and we'll let you know when we're sure. Don't sign anywhere else in the mean time, though! You're maybe just perfect for us, we think... possibly."
I should have said "written offer" instead, but I don't disagree with what your saying at all.
...DeMatha's Class of 2011 according to the Washington Post's Recruiting Insider, Josh Barr. He also has an entry describing Cooper's visit to Pitt.
There's also an interesting entry on St. John's DT Kevin McReynolds who has an impressive list of offers including: USC, OSU, Maryland, Rutgers, Pitt, UNC, NC State and East Carolina.
Impressive offer list and has nice film. A recruit definitely to watch in the future.
lightning bolts.
