Tom Brady - 5k school record
It was a busy and rewarding Superbowl sunday for Tom Brady. He set the UM men's track record for the indoor 5,000 m run in 13:36.

You mean after the half hour shoveling to get to the truck? Ten minutes trying to start the diesel since it is bio. The one hour plowing the drive. Pulling onto the ice covered crowned road staring down the tractor sized drainage ditches.

In his parents' defense, he was probably born in 2001 (his freshman year was 2019-20), back when Tom Brady was just a good ex-Michigan QB and not, well, Tom Brady.

No way, it's more like Michael B Jordan having the same name as THAT Michael Jordan. Just like the track Tom Brady was born before anyone thought the football Tom Brady would become the GOAT, Michael B Jordan was born in Feb 1987 when MJ was a prolific scorer, but not yet the GOAT.

I just ran a 10k and it took me 45 minutes and I was hurting literally the entire time, I almost passed out after crossing the finish line, and my body now hurts. And I'm in pretty decent shape.
I can't imagine running a 5k in 13 minutes. Goddamn.

Tom Brady is having a great running career. He placed 3rd in the Big-10 cross country meet at the U-M golf course last fall. The 13:36 time for 5K is a stellar performance. He should qualify for the US Olympic Trials in 2024 in either the 5K or 10K or both.
BTW; that 5K mark was set by past Olympians and American record holders.
