Todd Mcshay's Take: Stock Up, Stock Down College Football

Submitted by HartAttack20 on
On the front page of ESPN.com, there is a video of Todd Mcshay doing a "stock up, stock down" on college football. It's a pretty interesting video. Todd basically says that Tate's stock is up and Terelle Pryor's is down. He actually says that Tate is the perfect fit (agree) at Michigan and if he were a Michigan fan he would want Tate and not Pryor. I would definitely agree at this point. Pryor can't throw very well and he has made some big mistakes so far this season. Tate, on the other hand has been surprisingly near perfect on decision making. Also in the video Todd says that Joe McKnight's stock is up as well as Dan LeFevour. The stock-downs include Jonathan Crompton and LSU's wide recievers along with Pryor. I was really glad that this segment included burns on all of our rivals, basically. Tate ripped up Notre dame in some highlight clips, Pryor was called out, and LeFevour was shown ripping Sparty a new one. Solid video. Thoughts? EDIT: Also, I hope this isn't a repost. I checked back three pages and figured that was enough since it was new enough to be the front page video on ESPN.

RR plays Tate for like 3 series, scores 17 points, then benches him and most of the first string for the rest of the game. I know it would be the smart thing to do but with all this national hype I would hate to see a 31-20 score against EMU and have their stock drop even though it was mostly 2nd-3rd string players. With this game (obviously) not being nationally televised many might just see it as a they were high off last weeks win and wasn't ready type of game.

Given their comeback and near-upset of NU last week, I guarantee RR and Co are not taking EMU lightly. However, I would love for Denard Robinson to basically own a couple quarters with Forcier getting some rest. Also, as evidenced by the defense UFR, they need to get our reserves on D some reps as well, while stressing absolute fundamentals for the starters (particularly at LB, it seems).
