Ticket Help

Submitted by KC Wolve on

Got my tickets to ND game today. I bought them from a dude on ebay. I went through all of the checks and should be covered by ebay/paypal, but I am still paranoid. Is there somewhere I can go to either verify the tickets or at least see pictures to make sure they are real. I can't imagine things going very well after a plane ride, a day of drinking, then the ticket guy laughing at me saying my tickets aren't real.

Thanks for any help

Call the ticket office with the numbers to verify they are valid beyond that not much you can do till you try and get in the stadium. Does the ticket look suspicious at all? Smudges? Lack of foil? Anything like that?

No, they don't look suspicious. I just paid a lot and am making the trip there, so just want to take any precautions I can.

Thanks

unrelated ticket dilemma. i have jayz kanye tickets (nov 26 730). two possible scenarios, game starts at 12, all good. game starts at 330. thoughts on when the game will start (i know pure speculation), and if it starts at 330 when i would be able to get to the palace by. im from new york so i dont know how long it takes to get there, I assume about an hr?

I hope I'm wrong, for your sake, but that's my guess. Getting out of Ann Arbor immediately after a game is often a slow and very frustrating process. I think you're probably looking at at least two hours, possibly more if you really get stuck in Ann Arbor. Add that to the fact I've been to plenty of 3:30 start games that went until around 7:30, you're liekly going to be parked a decent distance away (unless you pony up or have a connection), and you're going to miss some of the show, possibly a good part of it. That is unless they have a bunch of opening acts and don't get started until pretty late.

Leaving the game early would help, but I'd never suggest leaving a game early. Also, a motorcycle and high tolerance for risk would help tremendously in getting to the show at a reasonable time.

not a risk lover, although I was the one screaming at Darius to kick it out and go for the win at Duke, but that was a rare exception. i truly hope you're wrong, and there hasn't been a 330 osu game in a while, but I have a bad feeling this will be the year. probably good advice, if the games 330 I think I gotta dump the concert tickets and enjoy the game.

yeah the situation was never whether I should skip the game but what the likelihood of a 12:00 start/ how long it would take to get to auburn hills after a 330 game. you're probably one of the 69 year olds whose writing on Stefon Digg's wall "Come to Michigan Stefon. I've never met you but why should that stop me from writing on your facebook wall. did you have a mild stroke when the prospect of a mascot was brought up. shut up boss.

I would say the odds are in your favor for a noon kickoff and that even it the game ends at 730 you will be to the palace by 9 which is probably before either one goes on. I went to EM/JZ and if I remember correctly Jay Z didnt go on until like 930.

If it's a 3:30 start then you will probably have to leave early or be late to the concert. I used to live down the street from The Palace and I estimate it took me around an hour to get to AA with little to no traffic. However, after the game not only will it take you forever to get out of the stadium, to your car, and onto the highway but there will be a ton of traffic. If you want to make it to the concert on time, I'd suggest leaving at least 2 hours before start time but possibly more.

Goblue, Jay and Kanye are coming to NYC (Izod Center in Jersey) on 11/5 and 11/6. If you can sell your concert tickets and pick those up instead, I'd do that.

FWIW, one of the most annoying experiences I used to have at UM was getting from AA to Auburn Hills. There is no direct highway/freeway (conversely from Detroit you can get to either place easily via a single freeway), and you have to connect through a bunch of different highways. And if traffic is bad it can take at least 2 hours.

With that being said, concerts don't start on time, and if they have an opener, I'd be surprised if they started before 9.

Anyone know when the alumni association sends out their tickets?

The website says 2 weeks prior to each game...I have EMU & OSU tickets coming. Will I get both sets at the same time? Or are they going to have separate postage and send out each game individually? The latter seems quite stupid to me.

I do not remember the tickets coming just weeks before the games. That sure as hell better not happen or I'm cancelling my membership - what with the ND packages being sold out before out-of-stater's applications are even considered. F- them. I better get both sets of tickets I purchased in the next few weeks or I'm going to go Postal.

Gametimes are normally confirmed 13 days before the actual game by the Big Ten.

Being November, they will probably be confirmed earlier.

Also, you're forgetting that most main acts at concerts do not hit the stage at 730. You're probably going to have a little leeway if JayZ and Kanye have an opening act.

buying tickets from others, but thankfully, not a single one yet has been fake. The one I was most scared about was WrestleMania 27 since I went all the way to Atlanta. But I only buy on Stubhub. So far, Michigan, WWE, Red Wings, and Tigers have all been good.

Fortunately, I bought my ND ticket as a 4 pack, so I know that's legit.

I've never been screwed before, but it only takes one time. And if this is the time so help anyone and everyone on that day and the decades to follow.
