Turns his football players into teammates.

Papa Hoke turns his boys into men.

Go Blue. I'm glad he has the stuff to discipline his star players. Fitz, Clark, Hagerup, and now Gordon. Football is important, but not at the expense of life lessons.

ESPN article comment  ["Michigan gives out a whopping 1 game suspension..big deal..only because it's CMU they have to play. I'm sure if Bama was week 1 we never would know anything was wrong."]  and point out M has suspended our starting QB from a Bowl game and then for good (poor kid later proved why it was necessary) and our punter for OSU and Bowl games and then for an entire season-plus, and whatever examples volunteer poster has time to research?

Valid answer: See Magnus comment above yours-- I knew someone would have better, more accurate/complete data at their fingertips.

Follow-up but semi-cop-out answer: I didn't have time to research because I was rushing out to meet friends for game-watch.

Honest answer:  Too cowardly to post on ESPN if I have to use my actual name via the dreaded Facebook.  Thanks for those above who defend my cowardice by asserting that posting on ESPN is a waste of time.

Next time I hope it's Jake Butt who gets suspended. Nothing against the kid, but I'm just sad to see this many esteemed board members so very confused as to who is suspended today.
