Didn't see one.  Auburn - Florida is pretty good.  A little sloppy.  Texas - WVU also going on.

None of this is real. It's all a computer simulation. Each of us has committed a heinous crime and been sentenced to an eternity of torture, and part of our punishment is to have no idea why we are here.

This is our eternal reality now. Accept it.

There is no afternoon game thread because none of this is real.

I feel sorry for you.  The internet, and apparently this particular blog, is where you have to come try and be a big man.

I hope you un-lose your job, or your partner, or your dog.  Whatever it is that'll improve your confidence and self-worth.  Being a troll just makes you an ass.

I wat hed some of the Illinois/Minnesota game (because I didnt watch enough shitty football today).

Brandon Peters scrambled, and when he got tackled his head/shoulder drove into the turf.  He left the field very wobbly.  They said he wont be back (undisclosed injury), but it looked like another possible concussion to me.

Some people's unhappiness runs so deep that if Michigan is the source of it they need to find another hobby, and if Michigan is just another outlet for their personal depressive tendencies they probably should try not to ruin it for everyone else, too.

I can't tell if Texas is any good.  WVU is hanging with them just fine.  Rivalry and all, but it just feels like OU is going to pants Texas.

A lot of speed and athletiscm on the field in the Auburn-Florida game but two teams that are really rough around the edges.

Minnie is a quarter from 5-0 with Nebraska, Rutgers and Maryland the next 3 games.  They could start 8-0 before their final 4 gauntlet.

Auburn's last play is exactly what we should be doing more.  Go routes down the sideline.  Shea just needs to confirm single coverage then let fly.  Nix didn't hesitate, didn't 10 seconds in the pocket.  Play-action, one step, air it out.

They're beating 'who they should' but they're last 4 games are Penn St, Iowa, NW, Wisc.  They could start 8-0, finish 8-4.  I think they still have some years of recruiting before they compete in the West, but they're on the verge of legitimately competitive at the moment (despite not playing anyone yet).

I think in P.J. Fleck's mind this might be the year to win 10 games with a schedule that makes this very possible even for an average team.

He then only has to hope that no big name program looking for a replacement in November notices that they have just barely scraped past some pretty questionable opposition...and instead just views him as the hot shot coaching star on the rise.

Some of the afternoon games are getting good in the 4th quarter.  NW - NU is 10-10.  Texas - WVU is 21-17.  Fla-Aub 17-13.

Ugh.  If the Fla-Ga loser has one loss, and the winner loses to Bama, the SEC will get 2 teams into the playoff.  Same thing could happen on the other side with Bama and LSU.

Ugh.

Northwestern got really screwed. Receiver decked and Nebraska gets the pick as the ball sailed to the safety with no receiver there. Nebraska just got a gift win
