There are...
...days until George Ceithaml (QB 1939-1942) supports the Wolverines in spirit as they take on the Broncos of Western Michigan to open the 2021 season at the Big House.

Go Blue.
Fun excuse to post this...
Thanks Dr. Sap, enjoy!
Thanks! That's the first time I'd seen or heard of that. Now I need to know more about it.
I can't believe those hooligans were beating up our cheer leaders and band members. Looks like a lot of the students and fans came down to take care of them at the end.
For a second, before I enlarged the video on the second attempt at playing it, I just assumed that at point point in Michigan Stadium history, we were going for the record for the number of people involved in a football play, which appeared to be something around 3,000 or so.
This video is pretty much the 2020 season recap.
Read the George Ceithamel wikipedia link before you vacate the post. Enough interesting tidbits for all.
Thanks, again, JWG
I watched it 3 times and, other than a poorly choreographed snake dance, I really couldn't figure out what was going on.
At a couple points, though, it looked like they were playing "keep away" with some object in the hand of the guy wearing a shirt and vest.
In the end, a Jolly good time being had by all!
After watching the individual scuffles, I think we can put to rest any notion that people back in the olden days were better at boxing than people are today.
I witnessed no fewer than 384 felonies* committed in that clip.
*Felony as of 2021
I'm gonna Hijack this and maybe it's old news but P Will Hart has transferred.

Here's the ticket stub from watching that game and potentially participate in the brawl:
At least we whipped sparty, 20-0.
An interesting and timely tidbit from the Wikipedia page of #89, George Ceithaml, as it's now the 77th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion of Normandy:
Ceithaml reached the rank of lieutenant and participated in the January 1944 landing at Anzio Beach and the June 1944 D-Day landing at Normandy.[2]
The man was a hero, passing up an opportunity to play NFL Football in order to enlist.
Gonna pretend I intended on doing that. Thanks Lt. Ceithaml for serving out country as one of those next-level badasses 77 years ago today – could never imagine living that level of heroism, just mind-boggling.
Wow. A student body Greco-Roman wrestling half time show!
Just imagining Brian trying to pronounce "Ceithaml" on a podcast.
Given the era it's a lot easier to imagine Craig Ross talking about him.
Another #89: All-American Richard Rifenburg
So, maybe I missed this but a quick search didn't find anything.
P Will Hart has transferred to SJSU.
