Harbaugh be a busy man. Curious they're all in June so far. No May or July camps?
I especially want the June 6 Madison, AL camp to be on. It's 3 miles from my house!
RDT?
What about the camp in Texas with Baylor?

Added it to original post. Thanks.
Last year, the Eastern PA one had a huge turnout and Don Brown has NE connections. Maybe they will add one.
My understanding from the whole hullabaloo was camps aren't allowed in May? Though I don't know why there are none in July.
And when is SBSM?
June 9th and 10th. So, should not interfere with the schedule above.
Added SMSB (Detroit Regional) to schedule above. Thanks.
No worries, hope you get to make it to the Bama camp.
I could understand them not doing camps in May. Not wanting to do camps while high schools are still in session. You're going to get a higher turnout during summer and gives the kids time to focus on finals.
Camps can only be held in a 15 contiguous day period in each of June and July. No May camps allowed per NCAA rules. Maybe July camps would be just too hot in the South? Personally, I think June is too hot in Virginia, let alone Bama or Mississippi! But I don't know that to be the actual reason...
Interesting... Slide 24 in the linked presentation seems to be in contrast to the schedule the OP posted. Thoughts?
July camps in the south can be ok if done at indoor venue's. Also, they need to do more events where they are the undisputed king of the hill. There needs to be no question that the recruits are there to get a Michigan offer, not a Baylor, Georgia, Maryland offer. Not that these schools are comparable but they are doing well as of late with recruiting.
I also don't see as much work going on in California this year and we could do more in Texas as well, they are both huge states.
From Brians post a few weeks ago, we had 2 or 3 lined up in California.
That would make it seem as though the camps are all about Michigan recruiting. It's about exposure for these kids. Yes, some may get exposed and earn a Michigan offer. But for most, it's about those low-mid tier offers that come in from the respective staffs that show up.
It's about the kids from small schools that go through unnoticed most years earning that low level FBS-mid tier FCS offer. Out of the hundreds (thousands?) of players at Michigan satellite camps last year, maybe 5 earned a Michigan offer because of the camp. That's not what satellite camps are about.
Because the schedule above already extends past 15 days
No Samoa?
Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad
No, but we did just offer a kid named Juliano Falaniko from American Samoa. He's a 2017 prospect who's committed to USC. He's the first Samoa native that we've offered, AFAIK.
is hilarious. That's the most attention that state has received from a northerner since 1965.
More like 1864 - Sherman's march to the sea.
Thanks for locking in my typo.
/although Bloody Sunday was in '65
Sherman marched through Georgia.
So Alabama still had their fun whipping on Georgia again.
The Atlanta Campaign, began in Chattanooga, TN. If they passed through Alabama, it would have been the Northeast corner. Having captured and burned Atlanta, Sherman's march to the sea departed from Atlanta and went on to Savannah.
One of the Generals from the Atlanta campaign - John T. Croxton - is the one who later in 1865 captured and burned most of the University of Alabama and anything of value in Tuscaloosa. It is said however that the University President's wife (Mrs. Garland) went back to her house and shamed the Union raiders into sparing the house - thus the President's Mansion still remains today.
So Croxton is the General for raiding Alabama.
You forgot Emmert's back yard.
They are also trying to set up a camp at St. Thomas Aquinas in FL but the OSU wants to set one up on the same day there. Could get interesting if both teams are there the same day. I know Harbaugh would welcome the joint effort to spread the game of football. Wonder how the OSU staff would feel and if they will try to pull strings to keep them out since Meyer has a good relationship with the school.
With Rudock and O'Korn both coming from St. Thomas Aquinas, I'd think Michigan has at least one foot in the door. I realize neither player was recruited directly from the school.
Why the hell not? SMSB has every coach from the region.

id have figured many camps in Florida, with Flanagan and Aquinas especially. And was hoping one in Illinois, as it seems msu has done very well there, and have gotten many stars from there.
What stars has Michigan State recruited from Illinois? I know about the Allen brothers, who are/were decent, but I'm drawing a blank when it comes to other players. Generally, I find talent from Illinois is pretty underwhelming, so I'm wondering who you're thinking of.
They got Josh King I guess although it remains to be seen how good he'll be. So far this year, Msu has a few 3/4 star tweener recruits and that's it. A clear step down from last year's recruiting class.
He was one of the best Centers in college football last year, even if his game doesn't translate great to the NFL because he's undersized. Brian seems like an above average B1G OL. And there is another brother coming in. Yes, all those guys besides Brian were not rated highly, but that's a bit beside the point.
2017: They have Jarvis (4*) coming in, who I think is a pretty good interior OL prospect who I wouldn't have minded seeing come to Michigan.
2016: Kenney Lyke (3*) is a solid player. Josh King (top 100) I would have loved to have had come to Michigan. Naquan Jones would have been a nice addition to Michigan's class (besides the academic concerns that almost saw him not go to MSU), especially after Michigan lost the kid from Texas. Panasiuk (4*) is a high floor, limited ceiling DT who has some potential as an interior OL that I also would have liked seeing in Michigan's class given the open spot; he's a lot like Glasgow (Illinois products).
2015: Raequan Williams (4*) was a sought after DT that noteably lacked offers from UM, ND, and OSU, but looked like a good prospect and has been generating favorable practice buzz in his RS year.
2014: Enoch Smith Jr (3*) was an undersized DT still looking to find his way in the rotation. Solid player but with first step and size concerns. I wasn't particularly high on Gianacakos and Morrissey is a tweener prospect that doesn't really fit well with what Michigan is doing.
2013: Demetrius Cooper looks to be a starter for MSU this year. He is in the classic mold of long, undersized DE that bulks up while at MSU and turns into a solid player.
Besudes the MSU guys, ND pulls quite a bit of good talent from the state. Iowa pulled 5* Epenesa. PSU and OSU get in the mix as well (Daniel Joseph, Tuf Borland). There is a some talent near by that is arguably worth targetting in the state, and MSU clearly has a good connection with the Core 6 program. No, it isn't Ohio, or Florida, or Texas, but there are clearly some players there that are worth targeting. I'm not saying a camp is a necessity there, but I don't think it's out of the question either. Then again, most of those kids can make it to Ann Arbor, so that argues that a camp there isn't necessarily needed.
I guess it depends on your definition of stars. I'm talking about college stars. Josh King, AJ Epenesa, etc. don't really apply, IMO. The guys who have truly been stars (a few running backs, Dennard, Calhoun, Cook, etc.) have not been from Illinois. Jack Allen was a good center, but not good enough to get drafted. If that's the best Illinois has to offer, then I'm pretty indifferent about Illinois.
and agree with the underwhelming talent. Laqoun Treadwell would have been a nice player to have though.
what prospects from illinois? just curious
Hugh Freeze just fainted.
He must need Oxygen. Someone better get him a gas mask!
Laremy Tunsil should be able to help him out with this.

One in salt lake city. Originally there were going to be 30 some camps and I imagine Harbaugh's administrators are working to bring them all back.
More 5* kids this cycle. Looking forward to our commit list when the 2nd or 3rd week of October Rolls around.
is the Hardest working coach in all the nation!..All Hugh Freeze has to do is hand out bags of money to recruits
