Student Section Block M Saturday
Just a heads-up to the students (especially those in the sections behind the band), there's going to be a block M in the student section this Saturday (and possibly next)! This has been extremely successful in the past with everyone's cooperation.
[Edit: This one will show up. Look to the distribution of both blue and maize t-shirts to form a block around an M, similar to the game vs. Ohio a couple years ago that worked perfectly]
WEAR MAIZE.

DB swing that pimp hand and ban anything pink on our sporting teams. Look I get it, cancer sucks. My mom's had it twice(clear again), my mother in law had it(clear now), but it looks awful. Just make it stop!

While we're at it, can we stop the creeping infestation of perpetual military worship? This is college football fergodsakes, not an arm of the U.S. imperial legion.

Alright hippie cocksucker.

I'll let you say that to a guy who joined the military instead of smoking pot and banging fat chicks at u of m while studying philosophy.

I bet my friend wins. Ungrateful, spoiled, jackass. Go suck your commie professors cock somemore.

my mom died of brain cancer this summer, and even I agree with this. We know cancer sucks and every other team is doing it. It's not solving the problem. Not us, mkay?

I agree, why cant they just take all the money they spend on special cancer jerseys/headbands/hand warmers etc and donate that to research? (and dont say that it is a sunk cost anyways as teams buy normal jerseys/headbands in bulk so there is still a price difference between the two) Seeing NCAA/NFL teams trot out in pink jerseys does not do anything to help the cause as I believe we have be ingrained with pink as the color of cancer awareness.

Yay I'm going to be two seats away from a free T-shirt for the second time this year.

A few years ago when they did the first Block M thing my girlfriend and I were a couple seats away. She got so fixated about the shirts that she emailed the athletic department and they let her come by and get one of the extras- they always have a bunch of them because they dont know what sizes the students will need.

I was three rows in front of it last year. And you know half of that M is just sophomores that squeezed their way up during pregame.

how do they give out free shirt?

The pink m was destroyed by late arriving coming right before the game making it hard to delineate between who was and wasn't in the section, I think there is a better chance of it working out this weekend, also really who was pissed off about the pink block m? It goes on tv, announcers talk about it, does more good than a $1000 dollar donation which is a drop in the bucket of cancer research, I mean really its not that hard to figure out the point was for the announcers to talk about it getting the issue talked about in front of millions of people, its like paying $1000 bucks for an ad during a michigan game, pretty simple stuff people.

On a related note, there is a facebook event created to change the Temptation song chant from "you suck" to "hoke smash."
I'm not sure what to think, or if it will succeed, but it sounds a little like "smoke hash"

Or, "Go Blue!"

Was at the game against purdue. Really disappointed with the student section showing up halfway through the second quarter practically.
Loved Hoke's PSA. Translation: "STUDENTS! Get your drunk arses in the stands ON TIME and be loud."

Can someone post a photo of past Block M's in the student section? I don't think I've ever seen it.
Thanks! Go Blue!

I’ll give you two choices. Pick one.
1) You see, they have these guys dressed in WWII German uniforms standing at specific student section entrances. They ask for your papers. If you have no papers they take you prisoner. If you have your papers, you are told to "move ahead", "eyes forward" and "no talking!" In the darkness you are handed something. But you don't dare look. Then you pass through the darkness and into the light of the stadium bowl. Only then do you glance down to see what you were handed. A lucky few got a shirt.
B) They put the t-shirts on the bench seats. The students whose tickets are part of the block M section will put on the t-shirt.
