Dearborn (MI) Divine Child center/offensive guard Dylan Senda is announcing his commitment today. He put out a video naming a final four of Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, and Northwestern. Steve Wiltfong (Michigan) and Sean Scherer (Michigan State) both put in 247 crystal balls for Michigan.

If he commits to Michigan, here's hoping he's as impactful as the last Dearborn Divine Child lineman.

Not to set expectations too high or anything

Heisman finalist OL? I wonder how dominant an OL would have to be to make that happen with no possible counting stats
December 20th, 2021 at 11:14 AM ^
Jordan Davis was but he only plays 25% of the snaps.

Another huge OSU offensive lineman owned by an under-appreciated UM DE…Glenn Steele

An under-appreciated 1st team All American?

Speaking of centers when does Oulwatili announce his decision?
December 20th, 2021 at 8:49 AM ^
Last I heard, he may wait until after the holidays.
December 20th, 2021 at 10:17 AM ^
Sounds like that's either a chance for Virginia to keep him, since he's still on the team for the bowl game, or Clemson impressed after our visit?
December 20th, 2021 at 2:00 PM ^
It seems like a good idea not to announce a move to another team while he's still playing for Virginia.
December 20th, 2021 at 9:43 AM ^
This evening we begin our 18 hour drive from Kansas to Virginia-for my wife's family holiday gathering. I'll be at the Virginia vs Clemson MBB game in Charlottesville Wednesday night. I'll ask around :)

Missing "k" I think. Or maybe an "s" ... either way, thanks for your service. : ) Also, safe travels.

Solid player.
December 20th, 2021 at 8:50 AM ^
I love that he's still blocking his guy while the QB is 2/3 of the way to the bench....LMAO....
That's motor!

Go Blue, Dylan Senda, Go Blue!!!
December 20th, 2021 at 9:01 AM ^
That follow-up visit really locked up the commitment--the so-called Return to Senda.
...hm...well uh
...each of the other three schools will be a Prisoner of Senda?
all right i'm done here
apologies
December 20th, 2021 at 9:05 AM ^
Either way his committing will Senda message to the rest of the recruits looking at that school.

Oh my god, is that Paul Reiser? I'm getting old.
December 20th, 2021 at 11:35 AM ^
Paul Reiser wore a bald cap with a pony tail and a fat suit for his role in The Kominsky Method. These days, he's looking more like this.

Hey Magnus - what’s your take on him as a prospect?
December 20th, 2021 at 9:39 AM ^
For better or worse, he reminds me of Jack Miller.

Listed @ 6-5" / 275 lbs
He looks bigger on tape.
December 20th, 2021 at 9:52 AM ^
...and understand that he is likely only 16 years old right now. Plenty of potential here.
December 20th, 2021 at 9:58 AM ^
6'5" 275 for an interior guy is interesting
December 20th, 2021 at 10:40 AM ^
Zinter, Keegan, Filiaga, Atteberry...he looks decently athletic for a junior of that size..
December 20th, 2021 at 10:54 AM ^
6’5 is ideal for a mauling guard.
December 20th, 2021 at 2:27 PM ^
The camera adds 15lbs.
December 20th, 2021 at 9:55 AM ^
For comparison sake, in the 2022 class the cutoff between 4 star and 3 star was Kevonte Henry at #377.
So #396 in the composite is pretty close to 4* territory with plenty of time to move up (or down).
December 20th, 2021 at 10:16 AM ^
There are also 3x the number of scouted prospects in 2022 compared to 2023. The way this usually works, he'd have to go out to camps and kill it to stay flat or move up. Otherwise he'd likely float downwards to ~500th overall. Regardless, Michigan takes plenty of OL in that range, and we'll likely have a big OL class next year so he'll definitely belong.
December 20th, 2021 at 12:16 PM ^
and really does he NEED to go to camps when he already has a Michigan and other offers?
Needs to keep improving and playing well but he doesn't really need to impress recruiting services once he has offers from the big programs he was trying to impress.
it only helps the services.
December 20th, 2021 at 11:21 AM ^
Yes, he is ranked as an extremely high 3 star, borderline 4 star.
December 20th, 2021 at 11:56 AM ^
What's more indicative is he's the #25 IOL in the country, and that includes guards and centers. So for a position group that includes 3 starters, he's only ranked below 24 nationwide, that's solid to say the least.
December 20th, 2021 at 10:04 AM ^
I love me some OL prospects! Michigan has to look pretty inviting after the way the OL left bodies strewn all over the field in The Game.
