State's new RB coach, Brad Salem

Submitted by AKMuskie on
Evidently, Michigan State University has hired their new RB coach out of Augustana State FWIW. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Augustana College football coach Brad Salem has resigned to take an assistant's job at Michigan State. Salem will coach running backs for the Spartans. He compiled a 31-26 record in five seasons as Vikings head coach. Augustana on Friday named defensive coordinator Mike Aldrich to succeed Salem. Augustana State? Is this the best they can do?

Once we learn more about this guy, I'm betting we find that he has "other skills" that make him a good fit...like he used to be a prison guard for 10 years, or his father runs a bail bondsman business in East Lansing.

First off it's Augustana, not Augustana State. Augustana is a DII school in Sioux Falls, SD. I know because I went and played there. Coach Salem is a good coach and as someone above mentioned he was a GA at MSU in the past. Plus as Irish pointed out above we did just promote our quality control guy to LB coach so ripping on state is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black.
