Spike Albrecht's first recruiting page
ESPN finally put up a recruiting page for this kid. I have high hopes for him, and think he will be the next 4-year hustle player like Zach Novak and Stu Douglass were. I think he will give a good breather for Burke a few mins each game. Looks like the next Stilman White from UNC.

Scout Grade: 79 1*
EDIT: Just found his rivals page too, where he received 3* nevermind. It was created recently.

This makes him a higher rated recruit than Jordan Morgan, Stu Douglass, and Zach Novak. Similar rating to Ben Cronin. Not eye-popping, but people shouldn't assume he won't be a productive player.
So he is going to be a one year player who gets no time barring injury and leaves to go on a Morman Mission...
From Greensboro. White was never going to get any burn, he was literally brought on for a worst case scenario everyone gets injured (which happened). Not a highly touted recruit, and was not recruited by any other big teams so ya he would have gotten more time on a UNC Wilmington but not on a big time team.
Greensboro?? I'm from Greensboro! Nice to see another Michigan fan around my hometown!
Nothin better than the G-Spot
That's what she said.
You don't TWSS things that were originally intended to be innuendo.
Stillman White played 192 minutes for the tarheels this season, he had 32 assists and only 5 turnovers! I think we would be very lucky to have spike be that productive as a backup point guard next year
The two games post Marshalls injury and he played 3.7 minutes per game and had 19 assists for the year (0.5 per game). Honestly probably accurate for what to expect here considering Burkes high usage and the possibility that Stauskas can slide to the 1
My point wasn't really to make it seem that White was a high usage guy, it was more to the point that when he was in the game, it wasn't like he completely disrupted the flow of the offense and that he was decently productive. If Spike can do the same next year getting about 5 minutes a game, I will be pleased
This kid is gonna be solid. Think Stu but not as big.
Kid has a NBA level PG to learn from in Trey Burke (yeeeeeeeeeee)... sorry got caught up... for at least a year so Spike will be fine. Glad to have him!
Congratulations, Spike. You're officially on the map. Not only that, Rivals gives you three stars. Pretty sweet . . .
I'm glad that he's likely not going to be good enough to turn pro early. It will give Michigan some much-needed stability as they transition from Burke to Walton (to even another PG?).
is an actual high major offer; it probably helps Spike's ratings that he's coming to Michigan.
I don't recall Zach and Stu getting that bump.
I agree that our offer probably helped. But if he's anything like Zach I'm really looking forward to it.
I'm from Greensboro as well, hence the mis-spelt username
Is this the first time in Beilein's time at M he's had 2 legit scholarship point guards? I think so and it should last for at least the next 4 years. Appears Spike will be a far better fit for this team than CC or Brundidge. Spike offers real stability at the PG position, even if he never starts a game he will be an integral part of the team going forward. We are fortunate to have him at M
that Brundridge and Burke would be 2 legit scholarship point guards. I know he did not work out but Brundridge was a top 100 recruit.
Except that no one really considered him a point guard. He was a shooting guard who could run the point, if needed.
Dugan Fife 2.0
I dont think they were on Spike until he was already playing prep ball out east. But perhaps the SYF AAU coach was the one who got Beilein interested. Whatever the case, we are doing very well recruiting everywhere using whatever connections the coaches have. I would like to see us win some recruiting battles with MSU though.
Give me the natural PG who is going to be a pest/tough in practice. Give me the kid who is going to push Trey, not for PT...but simply to get better. Give me the kid who will be a coach on the team.
