I definitely wouldn't say they're "red hot." They're a B1G team that deserves respect, but they're still the team we expected coming into the season. They lost to Purdue by 3 then beat Wisco by 6. It's gonna be dogfight like any B1G game, but they're not red hot by any means

While I'm enjoying this down year soooo much, I think Izzo does very well with the talent he gets. They really don't have elite talent. They beat Zion Williamson's Duke with a guy the NBA basically won't touch with a ten foot pole.
He went to the final four with Travis Trice and Denzel Valentine.
He won a national title with Mateen Cleaves.
He mostly turns non-NBA players into ideal college players.
He did underachieve in the Miles Bridges / Jaren Jackson years, but mostly he's done more with less, as unpopular as that might be to admit.

What is amazing about this game is that Minnesota is not even shooting that well (21% from three point line is less than MSU) and they just got back up to 40% on the game. This is all about MSU not being competent on the offensive end.
