Take that Tiny Tim!!
I think Izzo was waiting for Big Dick to get 40 points before sending the first double team. Thanks TOM!
That was very gratifying. Watching Izzo lose his shit because Dickinson kept taunting the bench was awesome. Also not sure Dickinson reaches the top of Izzo's head when he does that "too short" gesture.
Such a sweet evening.
Defense. Rebounds. Assists. Scoring. Toughness. Hustle.
When each one of those elements is better than the other team's, chances for a win are good.
Hunter is king of this rivalry right now 🏀 👑
Needed that one. Bang!
Izzo presser gonna be good.
Great win. Love to see the shooting and complete game. Keep it rolling. Fuck Tom Izzo.
The FS1 guy is crying because he is so moved by Martelli’s charisma 😮
God Izzo is insufferable
Those Sparty tears are a little sweeter when Tiny Tom is crying 'em. Go home, you big baby
Wasn't able to watch; I can't wait to see the replay!
Personally, I appreciated Little Timmy's commitment to getting Hunter a new career high.
Phil Martelli might be the best man on a bench in all of America. He reminds me of JB. We are lucky to have him.
When Juwan comes back, we will be ready for the Madness
Hey Tom:
Enjoy that L. Go BLUE
"Move bitch, get out the way!"
What a great post-game interview with Phil Martelli. Such a humble, decent guy, deflecting all the praise onto his coaches, players, and Juwan. Mark me down as a Phil Martelli fan.
I know MSU was better in the first half of the year but since 2022 began they're 8-8 and have lost 6 of their last 8 games, with one of their 2 wins requiring them to shoot 45% from 3 while Purdue shot 11% in order to win by 3 on a late 3 pointer by their shot-allergic PG. By comparison UM is 9-7 over that same frame and at least when they went ham from outside against the Boilermakers they won by 24.
I still think UM has to win 2 more games between now and Selection Sunday to feel comfortably in the tournament but MSU feels like it's going to slide ass backwards into another play-in game if they don't pull out of this nosedive.
Obligatory....
Too bad about that fall-off in the second half. Scored 44 points in the first half but dropped all the way to 43 in the second half.
You can really lay this one on inexplicable Izzo strategy to let our best player feast on single teams the entire game.
Hunter took full advantage - his finest game!
Whole team played well. J Will hit some key shots, both Jones and Brooks played smart, focused ball. Houstan, Moussa and Collins had some big plays too - but this one was all about Dickinson. What a performance!
Go Blue! Feels so nice to beat Sparty!
Izzy is a bitch
And they bring Mel like that's supposed to intimidate us. I'll take our Mel over their Mel any day.
Teams are going to go back to doubling Hunter. Moussa better be ready for another 28 point night.
But that's for another day. GO BLUE!!!
Watching Purdue - I'd like to see Matt Painter and Greg Gard go mano a mano in the handshake line.
Somebody gif the handshake between Dickinson and Izzo where all you can see is the top of Izzos head
Hell of a win! Love kicking sparty’s ass.
Hopefully they have some energy left for the next two games. I honestly think they are in as long as they win one of the next 3 including first game in B1G tournament.
Well that was fun. Very surprising they didn't double Hunter at all until the end of the game....that's a....bold strategy Cotton.
Bang bang please
Thank you Hunter. Nice to see a Wolverine step up with a big game against Sparty.
Great game. So glad to hear it on FS1 instead of espn. Hunter was big under the basket!
I'd prefer Sparty Emasculated for the thread title, myself.
Bang bang ! That was good for college basketball. !
Holy shit - end of the Purdue/Badger game was wild.
Up 3, our old buddy Davison missed a FT after making (I believe) 23 in a row. Ivey races down the court and drains a clutch 3 with 8 seconds left to tie - then Hepburn banks in a three with 1.5 left.
Krohl Center special.
Man, who would have predicted Wisconsin would win the B1G? Crazy.
"Sometimes you get your little brother excited when you're playing basketball..."
I have an unhealthy hatred for Tom Izzo. Like I feel like there’s a long-standing narrative that he’s this great human and genius coach, but is he really? Am I being punked?
Great game by Michigan and they needed it. They’re actually playing great basketball more often than not lately.
I'm here for this. And so, apparently, was Mel Tucker. Love the edit. Lolz
The greatest trick Tom Izzo ever pulled was convincing people he was a real human being and not the devil incarnate. It really is amazing how he has snowed every single national media personality.
Beat Iowa and we are in the tourney.
Best played game all year? I'd say so.
Did Izzo shake hands ,after game?
