Sophomore WR DeAnthony Arnett recieves UM offer
DeAnthony Arnett is a 5'11 160lbs sophomore reciever at Saginaw High School in Michigan. According to scout, he already has a verbal offer from UM. Does anyone have the goods on this kid. I think the fact that hes a 2011 recruit and already has our attention but id still like to hear more if anyones got it. Obviously its way early to be worrying bout 2011 recruits, but he is an in-stater and kids tend to like early attention, so we will almost certainly be in the running for his services.

although I have a really strong recruiting interest and want to read football stuff year round, and don't begrudge others, I think I'll decline the chance to show interest in a 15 year old.

You have a "really strong recruiting interest" yet high school kids are too young to follow? Where do you draw the line, out of curiosity? Do you only follow the 24 year olds that Michigan recruits?
to communicate that it was my opinion, and no knock on anyone else. Obviously, High School kids are not too young to follow or I wouldn't like to read about our recruiting, but if you don't see any difference between a 15 year old who can't be here for two years and 2010 recruit, then more power to you and I'm wrong. Good enough?
I'm not trying to rip on you, I just think your 2 statements contradicted each other. If I understand you correctly, you're only interested in the guys in the next recruiting class (so right now that would be 2010). I don't blame you at all. However, I don't think that make you someone who has a "really strong recruiting interest." That's a more casual follower, IMO.
about that. I like to read it because to me football is the totally dominant sport in my M fandom, but I suppose that's different than really strong.

I live in Saginaw, and remotely follow local HS footbal, and I haven't heard of the kid. I did some searching on our local paper's Mlive site, and came up with squat. I'll try and keep some tabs this fall, and maybe post some epinions from any games I can get to.

I'm surprised that nobody has left a comment ripping Rich Rod for continuing his pursuit of building the only football team consisting entirely of WRs.
I am just mad RR is going after guys from the state of Michigan. I mean we all know he only recruits Florida so this must be a joke. I would check into the validity of that offer because there is no way RR is offering a guy from Michigan.

What team will you be watching him play? I'll probably try and catch the Arthur Hill game, maybe Heritage.
Dosen't he know recruiting the state of Michigan a no-no? MD isn't going to like the fact that R2 not listening to Lemming when it comes to instate recruits.
