Well done.  Though, I always though Northwestern was a little overrated.  But now the B1G title will almost definitely come down to the 4 game series @ Minnesota in 2 weeks.

Go, Blue! Go Blue! GoBlue! (Sayin' it faster each time.)

Over Minnesota, .828 to .781, and 5 losses to their 7; over NU's .688 and 10 losses. Strong work. Keep climbing.

I don't want to get out of line here and ask for too much information, but does anyone know the score? Any details like who played well? One word answers will be sufficient, at least in this thread.

MGoBlue has details (though navigating that site is like using a car to navigate a bike trail) and I often follow the game on Twitter (though the person who tweets for UM will never mention an opponent by name, so you don't know if they're facing an ace or not). I agree, it's not optimal.

So... Alex Storako (15-2), former Frankfort East Women's Athlete of the Year, pitched a complete-game four-hitter, walking one, hitting one and striking out ten. Michigan won, 2-0, with two runs in the third off of Morgan Newport (4-3), who is not Northwestern's ace. Senior 3B Taylor Bump, who is red-hot as of late, provided the scoring with a two-out, two-run home run. She has six HRs this season, second to Lou Allan's seven for the team.

Michigan is now 24-5 on the season, ahead of 25-7 Minnesota. Losing the last three has dropped Northwestern to 22-10, effectively out of the race for first. The conference title likely comes down to Michigan's four-game series at Minnesota in two weeks.

Oh, and Illinois is 20-12, and has already raised its co-championship banner. Lovely ceremony a couple of weeks ago - their AD was in tears.
