Snowflakes Thread: The OT

Per https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/only-about-six-hours-ot-season-left-get-your-bad-thread-now , I’m gettin’ my crappy OT thread in. . . about your crappy OT thread. Yeah, I’m talking to you. . . whoever.

So, post your hot takes about the OT threads here.

Me, I was particularly annoyed by some attempts to bait us BPONERs into dissing various players. They all got neg-bombed, but players were called out by name in the thread titles.

Also, this one. That dumb dragonchild, wasting all our time. What a jerkass.

Hot take:

OT season is my favorite MGoBlog season. Sure, endless COVID threads that devolve into conspiracy theories can get annoying, but in general OT threads provide more insightful information than sports threads.

For example, I’d rather discuss the best restaurant in Ann Arbor or the Olympics than read threads on:

  • Fire Harbaugh/Gattis/Brown
  • Couch potato quarterback thinks s/he has a better game plan than an NCAA and NFL coaching staff
  • Game threads.  Michigan can win by 40 and still the game thread will look like a bomb went off
  • Predict the score threads. Unless you have a data-driven algorithm that is actually predictive, we should just name them state your pessimism level threads

In any case, all four of the mentioned thread types are usually covered in the first page of the "What Are You Drinking?" thread.

For the newbies, the correct answer is "Clorox coladas with a denatured alcohol chaser". It's really the best way to get through a season, win or lose.

Oh, no! My opportunity for OT is dwindling!

I'm not sure why offensive tackles are verboten. Even if they're offensive, I think they deserve attention too.
