Fans did sound loud despite the poor offensive play. It could have gone toward booing, but the fans stayed in it with the team. Great job to those of you at the Big House!

Hell yes. The crowd today was fantastic. Lots of Hawkeyes fans were there and tried to get their own chant going but we drowned them out.

Watching Woodson blast the t-shirt cannon then wonder why he was out of ammo so fast was pretty great.

I applaud your fandom. It was a win. Hooray.

The offensive playcalling was execrable. And those long-developing “trick” plays where no one was tricked? The ones that lose yardage every time? Crazy, right?

For the love of god, is there no learning that takes place inside Gattis’ brain?

Maybe he could figure out things such as, “Gee, our receivers are very tall and very good. Maybe we should throw downfield more.” Or, “Hmmm. We seem to lose yardage on these trick plays.”

So far, against teams with a pulse, Gattis has yet to call one single offensive game well.

The defense is improving, but the offense is nowhere near as good as it was last year, and the defense cannot carry the team on its back against Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, or maybe even Michigan State.

Yet we have very good players, whose talents are being wasted in this offensive offense that is truly bad.

If we are very lucky, we might get to 7-5 or 8-4 this year. That doesn’t make me want to fire harbaugh, not that I could, but it does make me wish that Harbaugh would reconsider the Gattis hire.

One of the most intense crowds I've ever seen at The Big House. And while I understand the complaining about the offense, give both defenses credit.  Especially the Michigan defense!  Last I looked at the scoreboard, Iowa had 1 yard on the ground.

Doesn't get any better than that.

Crowd was great today...Even on TV you could hear the noise on every Iowa possession in the second half and particularly on their last failed drives....Helped push a tired D over the top and definitely got in some of the Iowa's players heads...

Indeed.  I especially appreciated the booing on the missed holding call on Wirts ,# 74 (part colosseum, part mountain) in the 4th quarter.  It was timely.

That’s great to hear. I was at Rutgers last week and was a little concerned that the turnout would be limited due to the Wisconsin game. I thought we turned out well last week too.

First game back in a couple years and it was the loudest since I can remember. Great atmosphere. Yes they converted but when we had them pinned on third and long by the north end zone, that was the loudest i had heard the stadium. Fun game, stressful and typical Iowa but fun nonetheless. Offense will improve, I have faith. Go Blue!

This might seem lame but I take being loud seriously. I’ll should almost every defensive down. It also helps other people around me feel comfortable being loud as well. Everyone needs to remember that being loud literally helps the team. And btw, just making your fingers wiggle doesn’t help. But I do agree it was very loud today and I’m proud of the crowd !

Was there and honestly it wasn’t that loud almost the entire game. Walking out it seemed more like halftime. I heard absolutely no celebrating. Might have been because the varsity game wasn’t until later.

This was the 1st game for me this year.  I thought the Get Loud hype videos with Carlo Kemp and Mike Danna (?) were really great. I myself have quite a sore throat and hoarse voice today.

This was a great game to see at Michigan Stadium.  I am really glad I went.

I was there...(section 4, row 18) and agree the crowd showed up. I am a shouter (voice is gone today) and was worried that the crowd was going to get bored with the offensive play but they didn’t.

Speaking with Iowa fans at the tailgate, they were quite confident they had this one in the bag.  One group was talking more about their tough game against PSU next week than the game that was being played today.

I try to make it to at least one game a year and this one was really fun!

I watched the game at home (I was pulling for you guys b/c we don't play Iowa this year and so I want you guys to be as highly rated as possible for The Game so that if my team wins, it'll help us and yes, it's as strange a feeling for me as it must be if any of you do the complement) and one thing I saw that I really liked; they flashed a crowd shot and there was a row of male students in maize and they were doing some kind of rolling motion with their hands, rocking left to right, and one of the guys was wearing a maize-colored turban and just rocking out. Given the general tenor of things these days, such moments give me a smile. BTW, out in TV-Land, it sounded loud.
