October 5th, 2019 at 5:05 PM ^
Not really living up to your username.
October 5th, 2019 at 5:11 PM ^
I'm in shellshock this season but yeah I hear ya...neg away!
October 5th, 2019 at 4:40 PM ^
You drunk or Shea?
October 5th, 2019 at 4:42 PM ^
Or maybe the people at the game get to say something and not just the people on the couches
October 5th, 2019 at 4:43 PM ^
Shea has to go... I love Michigan and ive been on Sheas side when all my friends were telling me he was ASS!!! Harbaugh missed on this 1!! Go Blue great D
October 5th, 2019 at 5:22 PM ^
5 years in and still no non-transfer or harbaugh recruited qb has done anything of note
October 5th, 2019 at 6:15 PM ^
Why do people act like transfers count less somehow ? Someone let Oklahoma know they don’t deserve credit because they are using lowly transfers QBs.
October 5th, 2019 at 9:23 PM ^
Exactly, OU, OSU, and LSU are all using transfer QBs and all are very real playoff contenders
October 5th, 2019 at 8:37 PM ^
Harbaughs played free agency because it’s easier with qbs. Time to play one of the guys your recruited.
October 5th, 2019 at 10:34 PM ^
What if I told you....Harbaugh re recruited Patterson to Uofm. I know it’s crazy and hard to believe, but it’s true.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:45 PM ^
Fans did sound loud despite the poor offensive play. It could have gone toward booing, but the fans stayed in it with the team. Great job to those of you at the Big House!
October 5th, 2019 at 4:56 PM ^
Thanks, I did my best in the huddle and in my section from start to finish.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:57 PM ^
It was my first game in a while and while there was a smattering of boos when the offense stalled out before the missed field goal in general I was impressed with how in it the fans stayed overall. It definitely took some will power to stay loud with the offense dragging the energy down all game.
October 5th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
The boos were only ever for poor officiating.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:46 PM ^
Hell yes. The crowd today was fantastic. Lots of Hawkeyes fans were there and tried to get their own chant going but we drowned them out.
Watching Woodson blast the t-shirt cannon then wonder why he was out of ammo so fast was pretty great.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:47 PM ^
I applaud your fandom. It was a win. Hooray.
The offensive playcalling was execrable. And those long-developing “trick” plays where no one was tricked? The ones that lose yardage every time? Crazy, right?
For the love of god, is there no learning that takes place inside Gattis’ brain?
Maybe he could figure out things such as, “Gee, our receivers are very tall and very good. Maybe we should throw downfield more.” Or, “Hmmm. We seem to lose yardage on these trick plays.”
So far, against teams with a pulse, Gattis has yet to call one single offensive game well.
The defense is improving, but the offense is nowhere near as good as it was last year, and the defense cannot carry the team on its back against Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, or maybe even Michigan State.
Yet we have very good players, whose talents are being wasted in this offensive offense that is truly bad.
If we are very lucky, we might get to 7-5 or 8-4 this year. That doesn’t make me want to fire harbaugh, not that I could, but it does make me wish that Harbaugh would reconsider the Gattis hire.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:59 PM ^
If you fire Gattis after a year, you will never get a competent coordinator to come to your school. He made his bed and he has to lay in it. That's why the hiring process is so important. It's a multi year commitment
October 5th, 2019 at 5:50 PM ^
An OC that is confident in his abilities would still come, especially with an offer that includes $1,000,000. Money talks
October 5th, 2019 at 5:06 PM ^
The trick play with DPJ actually looked like it would work, but the intended receiver (Eubanks?) fell down.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:51 PM ^
One of the most intense crowds I've ever seen at The Big House. And while I understand the complaining about the offense, give both defenses credit. Especially the Michigan defense! Last I looked at the scoreboard, Iowa had 1 yard on the ground.
Doesn't get any better than that.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:54 PM ^
Crowd was great today...Even on TV you could hear the noise on every Iowa possession in the second half and particularly on their last failed drives....Helped push a tired D over the top and definitely got in some of the Iowa's players heads...
October 5th, 2019 at 4:59 PM ^
The crowd was electric and the student section filled up nicely. GO BLUE!!
October 5th, 2019 at 5:14 PM ^
So 7 point win covers on most bets
So much for the smart Money.
October 5th, 2019 at 5:15 PM ^
*except the huge empty space at the top of the student section all day. Which has nothing to do with kids crowding down. This is now a trend. Get with it, kids.
October 5th, 2019 at 5:16 PM ^
It filled up pretty well by the second quarter
October 5th, 2019 at 5:17 PM ^
Indeed. I especially appreciated the booing on the missed holding call on Wirts ,# 74 (part colosseum, part mountain) in the 4th quarter. It was timely.
October 5th, 2019 at 5:24 PM ^
Can't believe so many people complaining after beat a top 15 team
October 5th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
You should be on here when we lose to one.
October 5th, 2019 at 5:39 PM ^
That’s great to hear. I was at Rutgers last week and was a little concerned that the turnout would be limited due to the Wisconsin game. I thought we turned out well last week too.
October 5th, 2019 at 5:50 PM ^
First game back in a couple years and it was the loudest since I can remember. Great atmosphere. Yes they converted but when we had them pinned on third and long by the north end zone, that was the loudest i had heard the stadium. Fun game, stressful and typical Iowa but fun nonetheless. Offense will improve, I have faith. Go Blue!
October 5th, 2019 at 6:13 PM ^
Fans sounded VERY loud on TV. Nice to have the crowd so into the game and helping the team
October 5th, 2019 at 6:17 PM ^
It helped make Stanley very jumpy in the 4th quarter. He felt like the whole world was trying to take off his head.
October 5th, 2019 at 10:40 PM ^
Did the eight sacks play any role in that?
October 5th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
All our enemies, suck our dicks
October 5th, 2019 at 6:20 PM ^
This might seem lame but I take being loud seriously. I’ll should almost every defensive down. It also helps other people around me feel comfortable being loud as well. Everyone needs to remember that being loud literally helps the team. And btw, just making your fingers wiggle doesn’t help. But I do agree it was very loud today and I’m proud of the crowd !
October 5th, 2019 at 10:43 PM ^
Good to know you're so considerate of those around you.
October 5th, 2019 at 7:09 PM ^
Was there and honestly it wasn’t that loud almost the entire game. Walking out it seemed more like halftime. I heard absolutely no celebrating. Might have been because the varsity game wasn’t until later.
October 5th, 2019 at 8:44 PM ^
Guarantee you weren’t there. Stupidest comment ever!
October 5th, 2019 at 8:47 PM ^
So you walked out of a giant hole in the ground, with 200 diesel buses and you thought it was quiet?
October 5th, 2019 at 7:11 PM ^
It looked like the big house was rocking today!
October 5th, 2019 at 8:49 PM ^
Unless your darkstar and it was like halftime. Sorry, I’ve been to Michigan when it’s been quiet but today wasn’t that day.
October 6th, 2019 at 12:31 AM ^
I am hoarse but the W was worth it.

October 6th, 2019 at 5:31 AM ^
This was the 1st game for me this year. I thought the Get Loud hype videos with Carlo Kemp and Mike Danna (?) were really great. I myself have quite a sore throat and hoarse voice today.
This was a great game to see at Michigan Stadium. I am really glad I went.
October 6th, 2019 at 7:33 AM ^
I was there...(section 4, row 18) and agree the crowd showed up. I am a shouter (voice is gone today) and was worried that the crowd was going to get bored with the offensive play but they didn’t.
Speaking with Iowa fans at the tailgate, they were quite confident they had this one in the bag. One group was talking more about their tough game against PSU next week than the game that was being played today.
I try to make it to at least one game a year and this one was really fun!
October 6th, 2019 at 9:51 AM ^
Im sure some of that was the drink talking. Theres no basis for Iowa ever thinking they have a game at Michigan in the bag. Our worst teams tend to be competitive with their best teams.
October 6th, 2019 at 2:58 PM ^
I watched the game at home (I was pulling for you guys b/c we don't play Iowa this year and so I want you guys to be as highly rated as possible for The Game so that if my team wins, it'll help us and yes, it's as strange a feeling for me as it must be if any of you do the complement) and one thing I saw that I really liked; they flashed a crowd shot and there was a row of male students in maize and they were doing some kind of rolling motion with their hands, rocking left to right, and one of the guys was wearing a maize-colored turban and just rocking out. Given the general tenor of things these days, such moments give me a smile. BTW, out in TV-Land, it sounded loud.
