As the season is coming to an end I'm ready for the Jordan uniforms next year

Submitted by wolverinemayhem on

Has anyone heard any info on when we can expect an anouncement with official drawups of the uniforms and when they will be available to buy online? I've been hesitant to buy an Adidas jersey, but now that we're switching back to Nike (Jordan), I can't wait to get one.

All you uniformz junkies, please start holding your collective breathes now... and don't inhale again until you see an announcement from the athletic department... and stop writing posts about your excitement for new uniformz... and remember that you should see a doctor for an erection that lasts longer than four hours.

Just as long as they don't turn it into a damn fashion show to sell crap to kids who think neon and chrome are football colors.

Michigan looked good this year.  Let's keep it that way whatever the stupid logo is.

That said, Nike as a corporation and the whole creation of Michael Jordan into their god can jump in a lake & sink to the bottom for all I care.  Not a fan at all.

That Princeton first used (and still do) the winged helmet design. I think the story is that crisler had them painted like that, or whatever they did to them back then, so that his qb could spot the wrs down the field easier. When he left Princeton to coach UM, he brought the design with him.

Yep, others definitely did. It was a template used by a helmet manufacturer. Crisler just painted in the "wings" and stripes that coincided with the leather stitching pattern.

Michigan State used winged helmets, too. It wasn't terribly uncommon--though Crisler is the only one who made it a part of the uniform identity. Everyone else--including Princeton--ditched them.

back in the day, as one of my state friends showed me the pics a few years back.  however, it was a green leather helmet with a white semi-circle at the forehead and a single white stripe going to the back of the helmet.

i told him it looked like a sperm....

I thought the football team looked good. What the hell's going on with those basketball shorts though? Say what you will about the football clowniformz, I could see how some people (teenage males mostly, I'd guess) find them cool. I can't see how anyone could like the bball shorts. Didn't Hackett or Beilein or someone have to approve those?

I know the football unis have a lot more tradition behind them, but I'm surprised I haven't seen more backlash on this blog over those shorts.
