Screw Perspectives and Moral Victories

Are we Michigan State where losing with dignity is an art form? Leaders and Best don't choke over and over again. Disgracefule

Michigan State has won 3 Big 10 titles under Dantoni.  We haven't won even a division title.  Phil Steele picked this team in the final 4.  This is a massively underperforming season.  OSU gets 5 stars who perform, our 3 stars don't make plays when it matters.  I will always love Michigan but we are not a top football program since 2004.  There is nobody better than Jim to hire.  I'm not advocating any coaching changes.

If this was Harbaugh's first year, I would feel good about the team.

It's the fifth. Penn State isn't good. Michigan should have won this game. But the team made so many mistakes early, from the coaching staff to the players, that all it took was one disaster of a mistake to lose. This shouldn't be happening in his fifth year. Against teams that are worse than Michigan, Michigan should be winning.

We're at the point of Harbaugh's tenure when he should be winning. If he's still not winning now, why the fuck does anyone think he's gonna start winning next year or the next? The mistakes are Harbaugh football. And that'll never change.

Brady Hoke and RichRod were abysmal. Lloyd Carr's teams made mistakes. Gary Moeller's teams made mistakes. Bo Schembechler's teams made mistakes. Outside of one or two magical seasons in the last 80 years, this is what Michigan football is. Elite coaches don't grow on trees. We probably just need to settle for pretty good and hope for occasional greatness.

That was neither a choke nor a disgrace.  That was a great football game and a team we can be proud of.  I thought for sure we would fold when we were down 21-0.  The team showed fight and guts.  There's still a lot of games left.  The question is whether you love winning or whether you love Michigan football.  Most of us here love Michigan football.

Loser, BETA talk.

$8 million for moral victories?  Give me a damn break. We're going to end up being an 8-4 team (if we're lucky) - a far cry from the B1G favorites that the $8 million dollar man said we were.  Oh well, 3rd or 4th place in the division again ain't so bad, right?

Bo's first five years:

1) Beat aPOSu, heart attack kept him from coaching the Rose Bowl.  8-3.

2) Couldn't win the big one.  10-1.

3) Loss to a 7-4 Stanford team.  11-1.

4) Couldn't win the big one.  10-1.

5) Couldn't properly kiss AD's asses.  No Bowl.  10-0-1.

It's been this way before, just a better polished turd.

Screw the feel good “we didn’t quit” bull shit.   Moral victories don’t mean shit.  If you truly want National Championships, you find a way to win this game.   Start off by not playing like you’re clueless for half.

Yup.  Michigan Football has turned into the Detroit Lions.  Beat the crappy teams, but never win the really important games.  Tons of penalties and timely miscues.  Screwed by bad reffing. Fans happy that we came close.  Moral victories.  Wait till next year.  Blah blah blah.
