Scout updates 2013 rankings: Irvin No. 62 overall
Scout updated its 2013 basketball rankings today. The notable change is Zak Irvin coming in at No. 62 overall. Scout previously had him unranked and was the lone site to not have Irvin in its top 100. Walton is at No. 43 and Donnal is at No. 80. All three are four-stars.
I don't have a Scout account, but here is a breakdown from AA.com.
This is turning out to be another special class. Beilein and his assistants have really done their homework on the recruiting trail. Getting in on these recruits early and finding underrated recruits before they shoot up the rankings is a tremendous asset to our program.
Edit: Yep, 2013. I'm dumb.

Walton, Irvin and Donnal will be freshmen for next year's team, starting play in November 2013 or so.
Not 2 more years.

Everyone else will have Irvin in the top 50, but at least Scout finally broke down and somewhat gave him his due.

hmm I wonder if Irvin or Walton will have a G Rob type jump in the rankings.
Possibly, but I'm not sure it compares to G-Rob. Robinson made a sharp rise from three-star to five-star. Walton has consistently been in the top 100. I think Walton is making a good impression and making a case for a fifth star, but I'm not quite sure I'd compare the two.
Without crazy NBA-exudus, we should be good at basketball for a while.
I tweeted at Mike Rothstein asking him if he had any idea when ESPN would release new 2013 b-ball ranking and he responded "soon".
