that Hand/Settle trip is kind of a big deal?

For sure

#1 to ESPN and #47 to Scout

Keep in mind that these are rankings of guys who have only finished their sophomore year of high school. Most guys don't even have significant highlight tapes out. It shouldn't be that much of a surprise that there is a 50-spot split in the rankings.

The same with Terry Beckner Jr. He's 9 on ESPN and he's 40 on Scout.

The #18 player (5*) according to Scout has a dream offer and it's Michigan.
Lorenz interviewed him (I think PREMIUM). Very interesting.

AND THE REST OF THE TOP FIVE. GASH.

Good point, I missed that one. I'd love to see him get an offer.

Commitments to UM: 2 (both in top 22)
Rest of B1G: 0
I like how we're identifying and locking in top talent early.

Rosen's interest level is not medium, it is more like "casual and aloof"

Thanks sparty.

The fact that #s 1-5 aren't all stated on the notables list is very discouraging to me. Expectations now lowered for this 2015 class.

They are assuming that he'll get drafted by the NFL straight out of high school...

2015 DT Duplicate Duplicate:

Scout really needs to upgrade their website.

When Mr. and Mrs. Duplicate (pronounced Dew-pluh-cot-ay) had identical twins, what to name the second-born was a no-brainer.

2015 is a down year in Michigan, and Michigan has limited scholarships. Some of the recruiting sites have been saying that Cole is going to be battle between MSU and Michigan with MSU leading at this point. If Cole doesn't pick Michigan, it's possible Michigan may not take anyone from instate in 2015.

Tyriq Thompson being an in-state kid we take. If we start off with 16 spots for 2015, here's a little mock class I'd start with. Bold are commits and I'll include the Scout100 ranking since that's what just came out
QB: unknown right now. Only offer is #14 Josh Rosen, but his interest is low
RB: #22 Damien Harris
WR: #13 George Campbell
TE: Tyrone Wheatley
OL: Jon Runyan, #62 Sterling Jenkins
DL: Brady Pallante, #47 Jashon Cornell, #18 Keisean Lucier-South (Others of note include Josh Alabi, #53 Kamonte Carter, #1 Tim Settle, #40 Terry Beckner)
LB: #48 Osa Masina, #54 Justin Hilliard, Tyriq Thompson
CB: #98 Shaun Crawford
S: Tyree Kinnel
ATH: #59 Brian Cole
K: Andrew David
How would everyone feel about that if we could only take 16?
August 13th, 2013 at 9:56 PM ^
Too soon bud. There are going to be like 30-40 players in the mix not on this list between now and "then". Maybe in a year we can have this discussion.

I think we would feel pretty good if 9/16 of our commits were top-100-ish players.
August 13th, 2013 at 9:54 PM ^
I have to imagine if Cole goes elsewhere and UM doesnt not take anyone from the state of Michigan it will be the first time in history that happened. Really there is maybe a pool of 2-3 players that there is a mutual interest with in the state for 2015.
August 13th, 2013 at 4:53 PM ^
so many targets in the top 100. I'm hoping Josh Rosen looks at Michigan's roster and comes here.

Dele Harding. He's a 2016 prospect.

Still early, but this gets me really excited. Love the future!
