Saturday night drinking and eating thread

Can we have a slight change of pace and talk about what we're cooking, or being served, in addition to our choice of intoxicant? Is quiverfull/xtramelanin eating a steer he slaughtered back before his farm froze over? Is bronxblue having red sauce on Arthur Avenue? Is it French for Powhound, or Ensure? (JK) We're doing a Chinese hot pot with sliced ribeye, tenderloin, fish tofu, prawns, cuttlefish balls (must have been some big cuttlefish), Chinese yam and various oddities thrown in. Washed down with a growler of Singlecut Halfstack, Stone IPA, and Kelso Industrial. You?

Your liver might just consider that a threat. I hope you are relatively young, it's been 20 years since I could do that. By " do that " I don't mean I was in good shape or in any way a decent human being afterward.

My brother bought a platter of sushi that we ate with our mom at the care facility she's at. Now I'm waiting for her to doze off so I can go home and enjoy Tito's on the rocks with blue cheese stuffed olives.

I had something of a hodge podge going tonight - grilled sirloin with garlic infused quinoa and asparagus. it turned out nicely, but I wasn't sure any of the food would even survive my trip to Meijer earlier today. There were definitely a lot of people stocking up for snow, Super Bowl festivities and an otherwise blisteringly cold week .

Founders Backwoods Bastard. My favorite neighborhood liquor store in Chicago had 3 4-packs left today! So I obviously bought all of them. One of my favorite beers

It's soondae (Korean blood sausage, you are correct).  But the background looks like tteokbokki (rice cakes, onions, fish cakes in a swee hot sauce).

*shudder* soondae.  Smells like feet when cooking.  Least popular stall at the local Korean grocery store's food court.

First time, long time....

Drinking Sam Adams Cold Snap and watching the Pistons/Rockets game. Impressive seeing them outplay another contender.
