This is not pleasing to read.

Not hearing good signs at all this morning... https://t.co/hZQGw74NEv

MOD EDIT - not too much later, there was this from Webb - it was a separate thread, but let's try to conserve space, eh? - LSA

"I STILL think it'll be #Michigan for Gary. I'll have to see negative recruiting push him elsewhere to believe it. We'll know soon enough"

Just noticed Clemson commit Dexter Lawrence has passd Greg Little in 247 consensus rankings to be #2 in the nation.  He is a DT.  That would be an absurd haul.

Sam is just drumming up interest in his site. He hasn't heard anything negative. Everyone knows Gary is going Blue, but by creating a false sense of suspense it makes the annoucement more dramatic. It is similar to last night when all the insiders knew Onwenu was still Blue, but played along to bring attention to him and his teammates.

It's not to drum up clicks--if they knew Gary to Michigan or Clemson, they'd say it.

But here's the thing: this is not news. This is someone trying to interpret observations that may or may not have any meaning. Sam admits as much, so I don't put much stock in it one way or the other.

Does that mean he's going Blue? Nope. I just don't think this is evidence of anything.

I am going to be frightfully honest here - I hesitate to moderate a board that doesn't get Rashan Gary given all the buildup to this and the anticipation of having as highly ranked a class as we likely will. That, and there are a few folks here and there on the board whose sanity clearly has been tested by this recruiting cycle a la Harbaugh.

It's like when my daughter doesn't hear from her newest boyfriend after sending a text. Oh no he's gone on to someone else.  The world is ending.  Only he was just playing Cal of Duty with his buddies and didn't come up for air at her beckon call.

Sam is click baiting you. By the way, he was GREAT in Bad Stanta

This is the last thing I wanted to see, hopefully he is just cranking up the drama meter, to make us all very happy in a few minutes. He almost didn't take an official there, for the first time ever I wish a guy visited Bama

One thing to remember- it's better for both Gary and the media if his destination isn't a slam dunk. It helps to build hype and give Gary more exposure to casual fans who don't really follow recruiting. I'm sure his mother knows a little something about marketing. If you just look at the crystal balls it's pretty clear he's coming to Michigan, but then there's not much for the media to discuss and bait clicks.

Dontavious Jackson to FSU in a bit of an upset - Texas had some momentum for a few weeks until this past 3-4 days.  Will be watching this guy close - he was one Durkin might have cost us.

that he sounded a bit dejected when talking Gary. He was already sounding far less sure than he ever had and it seemed like he knew (I don't think he does) he'd have to talk about losing out on him later on. We'll see.

make a big difference to some of these kids and it can change a kid's mind awfully fast. For some of these kids its just a new reality that's really nice. I can easily see him going orange instead of Blue, but still hoping for the best. I don't think in the end the multiple visits he made to UM, or the fact that his friends are at UM, or the fact he says he cares about academics - really mean much in this decision. Could go either way as I read the tea leaves. Like a couple others have posted though, I think we're focusing way too much attention on one kid. Harbaugh and UM will be good with or without him.
